Perhaps you could try running the game from its .exe in the game folder instead of running it from your STEAM library or desktop shortcut?
Maybe the reason it isn't running is because of the extra unrecognized files, and so running it without STEAM might work.
I dunno, I'm just guessing at things here because nobody else has come in to help lol. You could also try going back a few pages and reading topics on this forum - threads about VR have come up quite a few times. Maybe there's an answer for you in one of those.
I'm really hoping for an update on the Mod cause I've been dying to play this in VR forever and just finally got a really good gaming PC to run it
I believe there is more than 1 VR mod.
If that doesn't work I guess that Windows 11 really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things... what a surprised!
I have windows 10 and it works fine for me.
Yep, I cycled through all the different seetings: placing -steamvr, turning off theatre mode, turning off steam overlay, swapping out .dll files for older versions. As soon as I take the .dll file out, the game launches fine. As soon as I put it in, it won't launch at all. I have a Win 10, but it isn't VR capable (runs the desktop version of AI great though). Desktop version of AI runs great in Win 11, but if you look at the thread I posted above, no one has reported getting it working on Win 11 yet. I'm thinking about writing Microsoft support. While they obviously can't fix the .dll file, maybe they could figure out what they changed between versions and fix *that*.
PS. Nibre isn't likely to be fixing it anytime soon, they got a job working on Halo. (probably working on some form of official implementation of their VR mod for the MC collection).
