Assuming they didn’t uninstall, next thing they’re going to do is complain about how impossible the game is.
If you think Sevastopol is bland then the game might not be for you. Sevastopol itself is the other main character in the game, beside the alien. It's dark and creepy.
Sounds like you might prefer games with more shooting in them based on your list. There is some combat in Isolation but it's a side-thing. Have you ever played Prey? That's a game on a space station with aliens and plenty of shooting. It's very good. Was my favourite game of 2017 in fact (along with Original Sin 2).
Well actually it does. Because as we all know there are more than 2. The fact the others weren't as well received is irreverent of the fact of quantity.
The ship is not dark and creepy. So far. It is open and bright and clean.
I played the original Prey and loved it. I tried the demo of the new Prey. It does not look as good but I may buy it someday. It does look better for me than A:I.
Impossible and boring are two different things. Making a jump that needs a one pixel accuracy is "impossible". It is also boring that you need to keep retrying it.
Thanks. I will continue the game.
Obviously, you are intentionally misinterpreting what I’d said. I was alluding to the arrogance of your OP, and the reality that you hadn’t really faced a serious challenge yet.
Good to hear that you’re going to continue, since it is a worthwhile, game with much replay value.
Keep yourself out of line of sight with the alien -
Here are stealth tips that aren’t really spoilers, but come with experience:
- walking is usually fine, but crouch when enemies are close
- running is like laying a trail of breadcrumbs for the xenomorph
- after you help Axel by hitting the guy with a maintenance jack, you are thereafter able to use the maintenace jac. …hit a wall to provide a distraction
- you can string distractions, such as throwing a flare over in one direction, a noisemaker the other way, and another flare somewhere else; the xenomorph will investigate each in order
- being grappled by a joe, there is an eight-second cooldown before you can be grappled again; this includes other joes
- shoot a joe to stun it, and then run past it
- alternatively, you can get a joe to think you are going one way, but then you go the other to get around it
- if a joe cannot grapple you, then it will hit you for less damage, which gives you time
1. For the radial menu, mouseover an item, then press a number key to set the hotkey.
2. For a throwable, press-and-hold 'r' to place it on the floor as a proximity-mine.
The only thing I have seen to do with the power diverters is to open doors. I tried enabling speakers but so far they do nothing.
I do have to learn to use the distractions.
The info on the joes and multiple distractions is good.
Thanks. Hotkeys. Yes that is good to know.
