For me, the one game that came closest was SOMA. Dark and scary at times, no weapons to fight with so it's a lot of running and hiding.
I could also recommend Prey (2017). It has a similar vibe going, especially in the early to mid game. You're stuck on a space station with aliens and it's very creepy at times. You can build your character around stealth and hacking so you can sneak and hide from many aliens rather than just blast them with the shotgun all the time. I personally think Prey is one of those hidden gem type of games that somehow didn't make much of a splash when it released and barely anybody ever talks about it, yet it's an absolutely top shelf game. GOTY 2017 for me.
You must be smoking crack or something, Prey was dripping with atmosphere. Had a great story, had great music, tons of exploration - using the GLOO gun to build bridges and steps to get up walls and over places was great, all kinds of secrets to find. That DLC they made was great too.
If you put all your skill points in to health and weapon damage then yeah, it probably gets boring just wading through everything blasting your shotgun.
