Good Place to Farm Deaths By Alien
First off, I just want to say I only got this game last month, and I absolutely love it. One of the most horrifying games I’ve played in recent memories. Anyways...

It’s a Weird thing to say considering how you DON’T want to get killed from the alien, but it turns out there’s an achievement where you have to die from it 100 times!! It’s the only achievement that I have left too before I finally get that 100% achievement completion. The problem is that I have hardly died during my two playthroughs of Alien:Isolation.

Currently I’m playing on Nightmare mode, and I’ve been (purposefully and accidentally) getting myself killed by the alien. I just don’t want to finish the run and not get the achievement.

Does anyone have places or missions that are good to grind some deaths?

I think I’m on Mission 8 atm, just got the flame torch.

Surely it's as simple as firing off a revolver round and letting the alien get you?

Yea this sounds fun...
This is a bs achievement you should be rewarded for not getting killed.

More reasons why I think this game is dull, bland overrated mush with some nice weapon effects.

LMAO true, I guess I was overthinking how hard it would be. I think I have a particular place in mind that would be good to grind; the area where you reactivate a generator with the help of an android (the mission where you get the flamethrower i think).

There's an achievement for that I think, but I agree, I don't really like this achievement, but it's not the worst achievement I've done in a while; I would much prefer this than an speedrun achievement.

Yeah it's so dull, bland and overrated that you're still coming in here to repeatedly tell us how dull, bland and overrated it is.

And repetitive. You forgot to say repetitive.

Maybe try the SafeHaven DLC. Yesterday I died 11 times when I played LastSurvivor and the CrewExpandable DLC (50min for both) . So I don't think it's that hard to get that achievement.

Quickest place to get killed on purpose by the alien in the campaign is halfway through mission 18... Save after using the terminal upstairs, then run to the door to go back downstairs and the scripted alien will drop immediately.

Or if you'd rather get the deaths without cheesing it, you could replay the campaign with Kitty Isolation or Smoke Isolation (very tough mods where you will get killed very easily)

IIRC the alien is also scripted to hover above the exit vents (or at least not drop in the room) after setting off the alarm in San Cristobal. There's a save point right by it so that should be an easy one as well.

Yeah, that's a very good place. He will even drool in the plant room before you set off the alarm, so that could work quite well.

Mission 18 - "Tomorrow, Together" is the best spot to farm deaths

You`re complaining about a game because of its Achievements? Ha ha. What a ridiculous thing to complain about. Why don`t you make your own Achievements if it bothers you that much? Just grab a piece of paper, write down a list of things to do in the game, and then put a check mark next to whatever it is you completed. Problem solved.

Well its not going to make me wanna reboot the game just to die over and over... This isn't opinion, this is a stupid achievement no one in their right mind would have fun doing this...

It's a hidden achievement for a reason. It's not meant to be an achievement that you grind for, just something that you would get naturally over the course of multiple playthroughs.

Not sure if you can earn achievements from the Survival Mode?

If you can, the first mission, the alien is right outside the door.

Just today i got this achievement, and honestly, i just started mission 5, i got the code from Dr. Morley´s office and straight after alien showed up, i hide, and went straight to the room with save. I saved and ... revolver, shot, alien showed up, killed me, i reloaded checkpoint, repeat, and while doing this for 90 times at least i was watching some videos on YT, as doing this on repeat was hella boring.
At some point I even started trolling alien tho. Like, throw flares near gas boilers, and once alien was examining the flare, i shoted at the gas boiler and kaboom, quickly to the went, hide there, and that was it.
