Full dynamic range or headphones?
Is the former option only for surround sound setups and the like? I'm using some high end HPs so I was wondering if I should really be using "headphones" mode.

I'd had the same question. Using headphones myself and I've tried both settings, very little audible differrence IMO. Both have the surround dynamic use. Use which ever sounds best to ya.
