Mission 10 - Tech Support Door Locked
On mission 10 the door labelled "Tech Support" which gives access to the stairwell is locked. It is upstairs in the lobby after you encounter the two guys. I'm getting the audio cue for Waits but the door has a red light and shows as locked on the map.

Have restarted the mission three times with the same results.Checked various Youtube guides and it seems this should be open.

Anyone else had this issue or am i missing something?

The doors have something to do with rendering. I'd try restarting the segment on a considerably lower resolution to see if that helps.

There is 2-3 more topic on the web mentioning the same bug aswell. They don't seem to found a solution too.

Well I.. Don't be mad at me but, maybe just maybe, is it possible that you forgot collecting the flamethrower in the marshals?

If not,
I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem but, Alien: Isolation has known issues above 60hz refresh rate. I recall solving some audio problems of mine with setting my refresh rate to 60hz.

Thanks for the suggestions, lowering the resolution didn't change anything and i'm capped out at 60FPS. Definitely picked up the flamethrower.

There are a couple of mentions of this bug kicking around. One is on Xbox where the graphical settings are fixed.

Suspect there is something buried in the save file so will likely try a fresh run and see where that gets me.

Bit frustrating as it's my first playthrough and was really enjoying the game before this killed the immersion.

UPDATE: Have found a fix!

For future reference this seems to be an issue with the save file.

My solution: I downloaded a set of save files (google and they are easy to find) replaced MSSV10.ais on the assumption it stands for mission save for level 10 and restarted the level. The door is now open

All your previous progress seems to remain intact collected logs, tags etc but it reset my inventory to what I assume was in the downloaded MSSV10.ais file i dropped in which isn't a big deal and is preferable to starting fresh.

Hey! I'm glad you found a solution! I am a biiiig fan of the game and it was very sad to hear about an immersion killer bug in a first playthrough. I simply want everyone to enjoy the game as much as me. Then have fun!
