ANY other games like this one?
Alright Alien fans out there, are there any other titles that capture the same feeling that Alien Isolation does? Doesn't have to be Alien at all, I just want a game that has the same horror.

Thing is, this is the first game to give me the creeps since the Silent Hill series went to crap after 3 and 4. I miss games like this. Games that have atmospheric horror, and make you RUN from the monster because you're not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ superhero with nothing to fear! There needs to be more horror games like these!

Any recommendations, my fellow horror enthusiasts?

EDIT: For those suggesting SOMA, I couldn't agree more, that is a fantastic game! However, I already own it through Epic. I appreciate the suggestion for that one, because it is an awesome game, but I already have it! My bad for forgetting to mention that initially!

Picked up Soma on Epic for free a while back. Love that game too, it definitely also has that feel. I probably should have mentioned I had Soma before in my original post. WOOPSIE lol

Have you ever tried other Frictional games: Amnesia and Penumbra games? Also I believe the next Amnesia game comes out next august.

Not played 2, but 7 was good. I didn't like the mid to late game AS much, though, as it became a lot more combat oriented

I have Amnesia, but admittedly haven't put much time into it. the graphics kind of turned me off a bit, but If you're recommending I stick with it, I can certainly give it a go!

Outlast and SOMA are the closest to this game. Besides that, there really aren't that many like it. You might enjoy Prey (2017). It's on a space station with aliens and some parts are pretty creepy. It has GREAT exploration, a great story, fun combat and stuff.

But yeah, apart from Outlast and some old ones we've all already played... not much else.

Amnesia is the first game for me that has an atmosphere of being scared and cornered like rat...
This alien isolation is the second for me

So yah, I'd recommend Amnesia the dark descent..

For me it would be Prey (great taste @Dayve ;) ) and Subnautica.

In Prey you can actually fight back, but the game does a great job at pushing things up when you start feeling "comfortable".

Subnautica can be terrifying. Also a phenomenal story that comes together with subtle nudges in the right direction. One of my favorite games of all time -- had to second it because someone else mentioned it. Not quite the raw survival horror of Alien Isolation -- but fun crafting and base building combined with an unforgettable experience.

Is RE7 unique in the series? That and RE2 remake are the only RE games I've played but I definitely enjoyed RE7 a lot more and was surprised at how much I liked it considering I usually don't go for scary games.

Prey 2017 version and F.E.A.R are good. They are both on offer on GOG at the mo, really cheap. If you are not sure about Prey you can download a demo on steam to try. :)

Already have Prey on steam, but FEAR is a game I've never tried, but it's always been one of those on my radar. Did not know it was on sale at GOG, as I seldom use that launcher, so thanks for the heads up :steamhappy:
