Game won't load after exiting the nest

I just passe the most stressfull mission of them all, and wanted to leave the nest as fast as i could.
But for some reason, the game won't let me. I call the lift, loading screen pop up, display a few advices, and then goes black, keep loading, and will do for many minute. It's just endless. As if the game wanted me to be stuck forever in this godamn nest, it won't let me get back to the reactor.
I feel bumed, because the save system doesn't let you accees old save, so if that's my current save that is the problem, i'll have to play the entire game again ? Please no.

Thats not true, there are 3 (!!!) savegames: current savegame, previous savegame and mission savegame. You are stuck with the current savegame, so choose previous savegame (you will lose some progress if you use every savepoints you see. Mission savegame = start over the whole mission from scratch.

Before taking the elevator back from the nest, turn down all the in-game graphics settings to minimum. There is an issue with the reactor map on some computers whereby it fails to load or it loads without objectives (presumably because the area is so big and uses a lot of graphical power). You could also restart your computer before playing. You can restore your preferred graphics settings after loading that map.

Oh woah thank you both for your anwser ! I'll definetly change my save, and if it doesn't work the graphical setting (or in the opposite order) ! Thank you !
