Audio Keeps switching sides in headset.

No joke. My headset will be playing fine one minute, then out of nowhere, the audio reverses. Since I rely on sound to know which direction threats are without using my Motion Sensor, this is really getting under my skin.

No, my headphones aren't on backwards. There's only one direction my mic can face.

did u find a fix i have this same problem. for temporary i unplug and change volume in windows audio settings but it will swap randomly again

This has the symptoms of a sound driver problem. Any recent updates? My Win 10 system has a stealth update every week or so. Since your audio is probably on your video card, check with the maker (NOT Microsoft) to see if you have the correct driver. If possible, try a roll-back to the previous version, and be sure to re-boot after any driver install.

Hi juwul, this continues to be an issue for me a year and a half later. I've just kinda learned to live with it and hope for a fix. If anyone knows of a workaround, lemme know.

It's not a deal breaker for the game, but gee willikers is it inconvenient.

yea ikr and it happens so randomly

Yeah, just enough so you can't get comfortable with one or the other. I've learned to just use the audio to determine proximity, direction is too unreliable.

what games do u play tho, in csgo this is a real challenge

Yup, this was one of my first attempts. I also went through all the audio settings in Alien Isolation's settings menus.

The thing is, I haven't noticed this in any other games. The only time this has ever happened to my knowledge is in Alien Isolation.
