I gotta agree with that one!
So odd, I noticed it on my last play through but not my other prior ones. I only heard the HISS though, didn't see anything.
I think that's a real testament to the programmers and the way they scripted him to react depending on how you want to play the game. A lot of comments in the forums are about how Steve "CHEATS" and how hard the game is... yet these same people always say "but I really like a challenge"...yeah right.
The difficulty levels are there so you can customize and fine tune the way you want to defeat him or have him eat you and they do a VERY good job!
Off topic but why Steve? The Alien, xenomorph...such better and more appropriate names than "Steve" >_<
Oh yea sorry: Steve was actually the name given to the alien by director Ridley Scott. In the first film the alien was played by BOLEJI BADEJO a tall African stuntman, Ridley couldn't pronounce his name correctly so ended up calling him STEVE :-)
