The aliens can still kill you and the facehuggers still try to impregnate you in the end, when you've woken up in the small hive. Besides, I don't think there was enough time left for Amanda to be impregnated and wake up before the station fell into the gas giant.

I’m not sure about the kill, but facehugger’s behaviour was not completely explained, for all you know they might be trying to subdue her.

When Ripley wakes up in the nest, the egg closest to her is not open yet, but all the other eggs close to the other people are open. Seems to me that the egg intended for her had not hatched yet. I don't think she's impregnated.

It is kind of strange that those two aliens in the scripted scene don't attack her though. One of them definitely sees her.

Yeah, I can understand. Sorry if I seemed a bit too insistent, but it definietly implied that (at least for me anyway), at this point only the writers know what really happened.

Well a while ago someone on this forum dug up a bunch of unused/abandoned dialogue and storylines from the game files. It seems they had a different story arc for the game which was changed at the end of development. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Didn't knew that, wew.

Yup. In the earlier version of the game The Torrens finds an abandoned ship before they arrive at Sevastopol. This was the last ship to leave Sevastopol. Ripley gets on board to investigate and everybody is dead (probably an alien got on board). It only had hypersleep space for like 10 people, but the people on Sevastopol were so desperate that tons of people got on to it.

Also in the abandoned version of the game Marlow had a much bigger part.

It's unclear, but it's for certain that she didn't die in her spacesuit. The light that shines on her suggests she was picked up by a ship, and a leading theory is that it was one sent by Weyland-Yutani
not to mention that if you look JUST before it turns black, you can see her eyelids move a tiny bit when the light goes overhead

Just finished the game myself, feeling like it was a bit dissapointing. Especially since I didn't know the Alien could hang out in fricking space lmao. I guess I had to know that!

The Alien encounter on the torrens was a nightmare while she floats unconcious. The lights over her body at the end is teh torrens coming to pick her up.

Her being dead in Aliens DC could be the company just lying to her mother... we know that's the kind of nasty Weyland Yutani would pull.

Omg I played this game so many times, speedrunning even, and never considered this ending as she having a nightmare! But it makes sense, glad the Torrens crew survived.

It wasn't a nightmare, it happened, but some of the Torrens crew possibly survived. Verlaine or her crewmate possibly locked themselves on the bridge then maybe flew the ship to rescue Ripley after she ejected the alien. The light we see on her face could be the Torrens coming to rescue her.

I doubt it though. I think Torrens crew died and the light we see on her face is a Weyland Yutani ship arriving to take control of Sevastopol, which they bought a few weeks prior after Ransome covertly told them there's a new lifeform on board.
