Quicksave mod?
Anyone made one? Basically the game is forcing me to either use the ultra cheat mod to turn off enemies altogether or not progress. The stealth at the start with like about 8 enemies in that large area are you kidding me? They have almost total line of sight of all areas at all times. You can't distract them with the speaker systems because those systems don't make any noise.

If the AI followed some pre-determined path whereby it was possible to figure out a way through eventually, that'd be one thing. But they just move around randomly meaning you can get 20-30 minutes through stealthily navigating around and then get screwed at the last moment because an NPC changed direction at random and boom then you have to restart from the very beginning.

None of this would have been an issue if the game had quicksave, but no it forces you to restart areas from the start. This doesn't build tension, it builds frustration. We are simply not in the golden age of PC gaming when it was tolerable to repeat maybe 10 minutes (10 not 20+... NEVER 20+) of game to get through a section. I grew up in the age of where games would load over 5-10 minutes from tapes and square disks. I do not lack patience, but my time is more valuable now than ever before. Randomized npc movements in stealth sections is an absolute abhoration without being able to save after a successful maneuver.

this game has autosave though... if u manage to finish one area, then it will autosave... btw, this game isnt as hard as everybody claim to be, once u get use to it.. u'll see that the alien and human or android can be easily tricked around... Even I manage to beat hard mode repeatedly...
Would be nice if there was more autosave points or a mode with menu and quicksave enabled. But nah, no quicksave mod and it's probably not possible. It's frustrating because of bugs that prevents progress.

This game tends to mess with people who play stealth games in a certain way. Namely excessive use of quicksaves and designated hiding spots like lockers. I'm afraid this is a case of you needing to kick old habits and adapt.

There are plenty of manual savepoints as long as you are actually progressing. Like 10-15 minutes between them at most.

If you are in the area I think you are in, it should take you 5 min. tops. You only have to cross the room before you can save again. Circle around the top level. There are only 1 or 2 people there. Also don't crouch walk unless you are hiding behind something very close to an enemy. Normal walking is much faster and very silent.

If you can't deal with this, you may as well quit now. The medbay will not be kind to you.
