Cannot remove the braces using Mouse/Keyboard controls!

I'm playing this on Linux Mint 18.1 using Nvidia Proprietary Drivers, When I get to the brace it tells me to hold RMB + LMB and doing so does absolutely nothing. The only way to get through it was to use my PS4 controller and do it that way. But I'm lets playing this series and prefer using M/KB to play it, is there some fix to this??

There is no fix, because after you press both mouse buttons, after it you need to press D too. ;)
You probably just missed the prompt for it, which is easy since the game use some unique way to open things.

Thanks for the suggestion, but what I mean is the game doesn't register that I held the mouse buttons. There is no second prompt, I stared at where it said to hold LMB and RMB. I have opened braces with the controller but with Mouse/Keyboard it acts as if I never hit the buttons. :(
I have seen elsewhere from googling the problem, that this has been a problem for a few Mac and Linux users. It may be specific to the port :/

Here I just tried it again after verifying the game files. The first brace didn't give me a RMB and LMB prompt, only a prompt to hit A. Next brace gives me the RMB and LMB prompt but doesn't register me holding them. I took a screen cap while holding RMB and LMB to show there is no other prompt that comes up...

I always play mouse and key board, the braces I have to hit lmb and rmb then S(I believe). Have you tried just pressing S while holding LMB AND RMB down?

Im playing through on nightmare right now, next time I get a brace Ill verify.

I just played a bit with my PS4 controller. When I play mouse keyboard there is no response whatsoever from holding RMB and LMB. Playing on a controller works fine, I pull the triggers and a prompt comes up saying to push left on the thumbstick. So I know what to expect but Mouse/Keyboard shows no response from holding the buttons :/ Sadly I may have to just play it with a controller since I have seen no fix for this problem. Also yes I have tried playing it with the controller unplugged.

Hm, might be a bug probably. I played 47 hours on Manjaro and never run into this problem. What I did usually is to hold one mouse button than pressed and hold the other one, and then prompted me for a key too.

Sadly I can't check it right now, as I don't have the game installed and I am towards the end of my second run anyway.

Well thanks for the help anyways. I'm playing with a controller for now until I figure out the problem. Still really fun :)

On my Mac it worked with [Shift] + [LMB] then [A]
