In a tough bind

I'll describe where I am ....

Nightmare mode:

I got a save game in the transit station and am about to go up stairs and take an elevator to "turn on the transit system".

There is a room with an android locked in a room... and an armed man that comes in when I do (something - no spoling)...

Here is my diliemma:

I have ONE bullet left... (thanks to my bad shooting at the "tower" where I was enroute to this spot from)...

My stun gun is OUT of power.

I didn't really pick up much on the way there (just getting through it)...

I cannot seem to kill this android... I set him loose and he takes out the man... OR... I kill the man first by using a flash bomb and then beat him down.

Still can't kill the android... he always catches my arm. Then he commences to putting the "Working Joe Stomp" down upon me.


I hate to have to start this over...

I already went all the way back one area to look for pickups... and that seemed to get harder (Alien showed up.... killed me... then I tried again... there were men BACK there ... they died... but the Alien patrolled like a guard dog.

I went down below in the floor and finally got most of the pickups I had missed... but still no ammo or batteries.

I need a new save game or something with some bullets or batteries...(lol)...

Just at the same spot (Transit station) on Nightmare.

Is it possible for players to use save games from other players?

If the android kills you with one attack it means you're low on health, so use a medkit if you can craft one. Also, your flashbang may serve you better to stun the android so you can begin a beatdown with the jack.

You can choose your own save game, choose alien isolation, then choose the last option, and then you'll see your saves for each mission you finished.

First off, obviously let the android kill the armed man.

As for the android himself...how many flashbangs do you have? If you have 3, lure him as far away from the plated maintenence shaft you need to cut through in order to escape the room (ideally, you should lure the android to the area with the huge monitors) and then stun him with a flashbang. Once you do that, run to the maintnence tunnel and start cutting, but not before leaving the other 2 flashbangs behind as tripmines just in case the android spots you after recovering from the stun. If you have less than 3, same gameplan, I guess, but you won't have any defense if you'll get spotted while cutting through the plate.

Stun gun is dead. One bullet left in gun.

I found out that you cannot attack the android AS he is attacking the man. Damn. That would have been awesome too.

Thinking about throwing a flare to corner of room....
Setting up two flash bangs in a row on the way to the exit then ready the smoke bomb and cut.

Okay... I am finally in Marshall's Office!

Here is how....


First the Plan:
I designed a plan to "throw a flare" into the corner of the room -after- the robot dispatches the man (while that fight is going on, I planned to turn on transit system).

Then.... as he goes to investigate that (flare)... I would sneak by him like a Master Pro Elite gamer and lay down a couple flash bangs towards the hatch I have to cut.

Going to get the torch, I'd come back and use a smoke bomb for cover as I cut the hatch like a boss.

How it actually went down:
Readied the flare.... Then stupidly hit X (on controller) thinking I was accessing the computer.

>Flare lit (last one too).
>Thew it into the corner (near where the tags are found).
>Typed on console then ran to pull the switch...
>Man came in and immediately went for flare as I was headed to free robot
>Freed robot and he went straight for man near the flare, killing him. He came back to center of room then decided to go look at flare.
> Sneaked up and turned on transit system as robot was looking at flare.
> tried to lay flash bangs as planned...and did (both of them).
> Got torch but then got spooked and stayed in the torch room like a chicken for about 10 min trying to hide behind a barrel and thinking I was going to stab the robot with a dead baton.
> Heard the 2nd flash bang go off.
> decided to make a go for it anyway after another 5 min.
> Went out and used smoke bomb after throwing my last noise maker (which robot went to check on (probably should have done it the other way around).
> Cut the panel. It being my first time using this thing every second seemed like an hour.... robot was complaining about the noise maker then the smoke bomb.
> Jumped in the hole soon as Ripley (loudly) dropped the damn panel on the floor (waking every alien within 500 meters probably).
> Wasted my last bullet as I was coming to tram (shot up towards stairs where I heard voices). Incredibly, no one came down.
> Cussed for like 2 min until Tram showed up
> Made it to Marshall's office and scoured the entire area to make up for all the crap I lost.

Spent: 2 flashbangs, 1 noisemaker, 1 flare, 1 smoke bomb and probably 3 hours on one tiny mission which I saw some people blaze through in some speed runs.

This was the key for me. I actually had to duck out of VR to play it pancake to pass it... but thanks for 4 year old advice that helped a human in the future. =)

In the end, it was blind luck after hours and hours of trying, coupled with using a medikit to restore health. Thanks.

That level should have taken 5 minutes, and it took me hours and days. ugh

Necro thread, but alternative solution would be:

1. Activate last terminal as android is killing the guy.
2. Run for the torch.
3. Shoot the android as it blocks you from getting to the maintenance hatch.
4. Cut the hatch open; the android will be hitting you.
5. As the hatch is being lifted off, spam to enter the vent, otherwise you'll be grabbed.

By shooting a bullet at the base of the stairs, this causes the humans to pause and not come down the stairs. Alternatively, hide in a vent, until the tram doors open.
