In Axom: Conquest, Structure mods are a feature that can be applied to almost any building. Towers, hazards, economy structures, and defences can all receive modifiers, and each modifier changes how the structure behaves.

Each modifier has a unique effect. Some increase stats, some add new mechanics, and some come with drawbacks. Because modifiers are universal, the result depends on what structure you apply them to.

Modifiers can be gained in a few different ways during a run.

Capsule consumables can apply a modifier directly to a structure you choose.
Some upgrades also have a chance to apply modifiers at random.

The goal of the system is to allow more variety between runs and make it possible to create unusual combinations.
