Detonation plan bugged.
I am unable to move the magnets on the detonation plan. I can see the plan and the magnets, the "back" button functions, but I can't interact with the magnets at all. Does anyone know of a workaround?

I'm playing version 1.3.4.1274 on Windows 8 32 bit.

when you cannot interact with the magnets anymore, it means the puzzle is done! are the 3 guys in the city hall siiting on their places, or are they gone?

The guys are still there. I have never been able to move the magnets. After attempting to use every item in my inventory with every interactable thing in every accessible area of the game so far, I figured I was dealing with a bug and that was confirmed when I consulted a walkthrough. :/

This is really strange. Yeah, maybe it`s a bug! I`m on the same Version of the Game as you are, and in my case all is fine.Moving the Magnets on correct Position, beat the bell, and the guys were gone. The only thing i can suggest, is to start from an earlier Save state, and to try again!

Bummer! I was afraid I might have to do that or just start the game over. I'm not very far into it, after all. Thanks!

Sad news: I did a speed through to the detonation plan section and was disappointed to get the same game-arresting result. So... ummm... refund? Hotfix?

Verify cache and all that?

Good call... but still no dice. :(

This is going to sound really stupid, but I didn't see this covered above. How are you trying to move the magnets? In my version, if I try to click and drag on a magnet to somewhere else on the map, the magnet won't move. However, if I just tap the mouse button on a magnet and let go, then I can manipulate it freely.

Just a thought since I noticed that what I thought would be an intuitive way to drag magnets around actually didn't work.

That didn't work for me either. :/ You know how holding down the spacebar causes a small screw/bolt to appear over everything on screen that you can interact with? They won't even appear over the magnets.

I've got the same OS and can't duplicate this. You may want to try a fresh install.

I've been having similiar problems with every single puzzle with stuff to click. What's even more hellish is the post office birds ordeal. I find I have to wave my mouse back and forth on top of a button and off again several times before the click registers. And if I get too antsy sometimes it double clicks which would ruin the magnet thing, dropping it right back in place.

Either way I feel you here, I'm fortunate enough to have been able to work through it, I hope you find something that works for you too. Best of luck.

I can be wrong but to me always worked clicking the magnet(once) dragging it and taking it to the point on the map(the detonation plan -______-) and clicking again...

I think you clicked-dragged the magnets.

Try performing a good clean uninstall (use Revo Uninstaller, for example), because some temp files might be dispersed throughout different directories, not only steam but your User folders. then, try a new install, and give it another run. Also, try running in windowed mode if you haven't done so already.
Hope this helps.

Use double click-drag on the magnets.

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having a similar issue. I was able to move them the first time, but didn't put them in the right place, and now I can't move them again.
