suggestions on fixing the severe lag?
i was very excited to play this, but the game seems to run in .5 speed no matter what i do -- switching it out of full screen helps, but only marginally. i'm sort of at a loss because although i don't have a gaming computer, i have a decent graphics card that has handled games of a similar style/genre before. stardew runs with absolutely no lag at all, so i'm not sure what could be the issue here.

same with me, at first i thought it depends on the location youre at maybe because of loading screens (?) but then it just happened everywhere and it is really annoying
havent found a solution for this yet but i hope they fix the bug soon

i had this issue, but they offer a solution on the fields of mistria website and its basically fixed my slow lag running? it also depends on if your system can actually handle the game sadly- here's the fix i used! i hope it helps yall:

search graphic settings in your windows start menu and open it > click browse and locate your fields of mistria exe file > select options for the game > select high performance > save

I play on a steam deck and for some reason it all moves quite slowly on it but as soon as I plug it into a TV to use the big screen; it works perfectly. So hopefully it's something like fix in a patch or before it's fully released ☺️

I heard someone say that the speed of a Gamemaker game is tied to framerate. That's why it locks to 60fps. So if it's running at a lower speed that might be because it's running at a lower framerate.

Anyway, I'm wondering if this could be a vsync issue. Maybe try disabling it in the game options? If it's doing double-buffer vsync then if it isn't managing to hit a stable 60 it might be dropping clear down to 30 (thus half speed). You could try forcing triple buffer vsync in your graphics card's control panel to fix this. Playing in windowed mode might also fix this.

Just some ideas to try...

Same issue. Tried all the suggested fixes, but still severe lag. Especially on rainy days, it's unplayable then.
