Expansion of pronouns? :Oc
It's great to see that there are options for things like she/they and he/they, but personally I'd love to see options for things like she/him (or he/her, flip it based on priority) or even it/its. The selection is phenomenal, but it'd still be cool to see smthn for the she/hims and it/its out there!

Yeah! Like, it'd be much better if we could select multiple pronouns (like she/her + they/them) instead of the current one selection of (she/her or they/them or she/they). It'd allow for more than 2 and for a range of options + more options outside of just she/her, he/him, they/them, it/its - like an area to insert custom neopronouns based on the conjugation (eg xe/xem being conjugated similar to they/them and using are, or xe/xyr being like she/her or he/him and using am - even tho both use xe).
I know changing the whole system would be difficult, but at least adding more options would be nice.

Oh real mature of the loser adding the jester react.
Thanks for the points, you suck.

I don't think letting people type in their own pronouns would really require changing the whole system, it's already set to insert them as needed you'd just be swapping them out.

I do like that you can change genders and looks at any time, I am really waffling on gender for this game lol. I'd rather play as a girl but I'd rather date as a guy

I'm glad there's at least one genre left in gaming where inclusive pronouns don't mean a precipitous drop in sales—chuds don't play cozy games—but I swear some people have a "when all you have is a victim complex, everything starts to look like an oppressor" attitude and would rather have inclusive pronouns than things like gameplay and character development and skill progression and art style and all the other 99.9% of things that go into making a good game.

And we wonder why there's a backlash against DEI all over the internet. A tiny minority of players want to hijack the whole discussion.

Where in this did I imply anything about a victim complex? The game already has a selection of pronouns that are fantastic, it would just be nice to see more introduced. If you're not using stuff like he/they already, then it literally doesn't impact you. It's a suggestion for a game that's still in development..???
Asking for additions isn't a victim complex and there are already threads of people asking for other things. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill for something that's really just QoL requests.

So the game is woke. Sad.
Woke no buy
Your icon is of a game where players can marry each other regardless of gender and features frequent nonbinary characters, and you're in a forum about a game where you can marry people regardless of gender. Be for real. You walked into a queer space and are complaining that there's queer stuff.

I mean, that would be the ideal! My mind goes to this one game where you input multiple pronouns and it has a sliding bar for how frequent you want either one to be used (eg equal chance of usage, bias towards she/her, bias towards they/them etc.), but that one would require more work than just inserting.
But god I get you on that. I do LOVE that you can change all of those on the fly, it's so nice?? I still haven't settled on much, but it's a really nice addition to the game.

Ofc this instead of timescale slider that entire community is begging for.

Do characters ever actually use your farmer's pronouns? I've played the game a fair bit and haven't noticed any gendered terms in dialogue...

ETA: To be clear, I am in favour of more options. I was just wondering if they affected anything.
