Hail Vikings!

This is going to be a long one, because we have added quite a bit to Nanokings since the last playtest, so here goes:

• New Playable Character - Frejya the Stoic

She is a powerful archer who focuses on mobility and killing enemies from afar, leading to a very different playstyle from Ulfur.

• Tutorials

We got some feedback about confusion about how to play, so we have added a lot of tutorial content. We might have gone a bit overboard, so please let us know.

• Difficulty Settings

We have added difficulty settings! It will hopefully give some of you more of a challenge now. There are only 3 settings at the moment; more will be added in future updates.

• New Weapon Graphics

We have updated some weapon graphics, not all of them. This is a continuous process, so not all weapon graphics have been changed yet, but more will come in the future!

• Visual Upgrades

Several visual effects have been added to make things pop more, including vignetting, new VFXs, shadows and more!

• Poison Axe

The poison axe has been added to the game! If you tried the game a long time ago, you might have seen it before, but it is back with all-new graphics!

• Instance Gameplay Improvements

The combat in the instances now has a lot more feedback, with the player moving as part of the attacks and enemies getting knocked back.

Note: Freyja works in the instances, but she does not have her intended gameplay features yet.

• Hit Adjustments

Enemies can now hit the player character a lot more easily. That's right, it is going to be a lot harder now.

• Balancing

Almost all weapons and Items have had their stats adjusted; a lot of items are less powerful, and weapons have been adjusted as well, some being a little stronger, while others are weaker.

Additionally, there has been a whole host of bug fixes. We will put out a list of the bugs that have not been fixed from the last playtest on the 23rd of April, just so you know if you encounter them.

Hail Vikings!

We've put together a gameplay trailer! If you participated in our last playtest, you probably recognise some of it, but in case you didn't and are thinking about joining the next one, here is some of what you can expect!

We'll be throwing up a couple of more posts here on Steam soon, about what has changed since the last playtest, and what we plan to do during the playtest on the 24th-27th, so stay tuned!
