I had 4 people in a row concede to my mill deck on turn one today
Cheers
they still have spells that get around can't be countered which is stupid
It's not personal bias.
it's the only color that can effectively respond to the stack by countering.
You pretty much have to play blue to respond to their stack, that's not healthy game balance. There is a reason the meta always has blue or splashes blue.
They say "blue can't deal with permanents so it gets counters" that's total BS because blue can deal with permanents, flood of tears, agent of treachery, etc.
Instant speed card draw
insane unconditional regular card draw
Extra turns
And if you somehow have a card that says "can't be countered" they'll have a card that says "Exile target spell" which totally bypasses can't be countered, the 1 thing we have to play against blue and they have a way to stop it.
cards like discontinuity which not only counters your spell and also bypasses "Can't be countered" it also ends your turn which is basically an extra turn for blue.
Say you'll destroy my creature. I'll cast something to give it hexproof, indestructible, etc.
Say you'll destroy my creature but I still get the ETB effect.
Or my creature simply has hexproof built in.
I still get value or have ways to protect the creature.
However with counterspells they bypass all of that it doesn't even hit the battlefield and it's pretty exclusive to only 1 color. To stop it you pretty much have to play blue.
It also protects their combos with counterspells. So you can't even stop them
