Level 3

My friend and I have discovered a secret level.

I know it's a secret because it's not on the wiki yet. If you keep a VHS tape from level 0 and make it out of The Habitable Zone with it (the 5 generator level), you'll end up in an underground highway tunnel. There are doors all along this tunnel, with a few of them that have green lights above them.

You can enter these doors and they'll take you to different levels. The one I'm talking about is Level 3. It's some kind of power substation. You have to power a generator with gasoline, repair a few power panels using wire and tape found lower in the substation, and collect a bunch of fuses to power a catwalk to escape this level.

The problem is the entities here.

I won't give much away, but these things are for sure the scariest we've encountered so far. They're quiet except for light "foot"steps, they're especially fast, and exceptionally aggressive. When a floor is powered and the lights are on, they seem to have a radius of awareness. But when the lights are out... they always know exactly where you are.

God help you if you're the only one on the floor and the lights go out.

Has anyone else managed to find this level? And if so, can they pass along any pertinent information on where to find the tools needed to get the above mentioned tasks completed?

We just beat this, if you want the vod. gas gets you into level 3, use fuses to open small boxes on the wall that eat your fuse (you cant pick it back up like you can with doors). Look for electrical tape, you need 4 electrical tape to get out of the entire area and across the catwalk but need only one to get into level 2 (look behind the power levers). Level 2 i think we found the rusty bolt cutters but idk if it can be on level 1 or 3. All the levels are GIANT mazes. Keep coming back up if you need cuz you find a lot of supplies gas food drinks bandages and we just drop them on the generator floor especially gas and we leave one person at gas and run around opening big supply closets that you may mistake for the random big electrical boxes on the wall but the closets have rusty chains on them. we found one wire in the wall boxes that eat fuzes to open floor one and then on floor 2 we found a bunch of supplies in the rusty chain closets and floor one i believe we found two wires in a chained supply closet and then the catwalk was weird but just mess with power for floors make sure you have all the fuses in and the two wires above the fuse box fixed with electrical tape and dont lose your team mate with the rusty bolts cuz the door at the end of the catwalk is chained and im not sure if the generator runs out of power if the catwalk goes back up. I probably didnt explain it well but my friend has the vod and you can add me for any questions

Remember that there is a creature on each floor (3,2 and 1), this creature is smart and silent, you should notice its steps as those of someone running BAREFOOT, different from your steps and those of your friends. You can use fuses to close the doors and make the creature have to turn around or find another way to get to you (believe me, it will) so if it starts chasing you, try your best to get back to the main generator. .
An important and certainly crucial tip is DO NOT LET THE GASOLINE IN THE GENERATOR RUN OUT, if this happens the generator will stop working and the power will be turned off. After that, the creature goes into rage mode and will tirelessly chase you, however, without the energy on the floors you cannot close the doors and this way the creature will end up catching up to you...
On the walls of all floors there is a sequence of lights from red to green, around 8 or 9 points of light, these lights indicate the amount of gasoline in the generator, always pay attention if the number of lights on starts to decrease ( just 04 or 03) and it's time to immediately go back to the generator and refill with gasoline so that the power doesn't run out.
Remember the creature cannot go to the stairs that lead to the floors.
The part that friend "C̵h̷e̶r̵r̸y̴ ̸B̷o̸i̵ ̵H̶×n̶t̴e̸r" said about the fuses, ribbons and power cables is true, you will need at least 3 cables, 4 ribbons, and a pair of rusty pliers. The cables are used to repair damaged cables behind the levers of power generators 2 and, on the level 2 lever you only need 01 tape, on the level 01 lever you will need a cable and a tape. You will also need several fuses that you can find by removing the floor doors, I don't remember exactly how many, but I think there are 12 or 10, something along those lines, which must be placed in the box that is open before the bridge (which is the exit from the level), after getting everything you must fix the wires, place the generators, find the rusty pliers and then lower the lever to floor 01 (I only found the rusty pliers on this floor, but you might find it on floor 02). With everything fixed and the fuses placed, when you lower the lever on floor 01, the bridge will lower and you will be able to cross to the other side where you will find a door with chains on it, use the pliers and you will pass the level, taking you to a kind of dark office similar to level 04, I haven't played it yet but I'll let you know if anything happens.

When I originally posted, I was playing with one other friend at the time. One of us would camp the generator, and the other would explore the lower floors. The problem with that was, as mentioned above, the lower levels are GIANT mazes. With only one explorer, it quickly became less about finding the necessary tools and more about finding as much gas as possible.

So we got our third buddy in, spent the first ten minutes SCOURING the first level down for as much gas as possible, and THEN had someone camp the generator while the other two would explore. This extra manpower really came in handy, we managed to find everything we needed within an hour of attempts (we still died the first couple times bc those monsters are very sneaky lol, but also our third finds it hilarious to sabotage us xD)

What I've found is that sublevel 3 (the first level down the stairs) is where to get mostly fuses and tape. Sublevel 2 is where we found the bolt cutters over several runs. And sublevel 1 is mostly wires.

As someone with very good directional awareness, it was very easy for me to navigate the mazes and get back to the stairs, but I can imagine this level being hell for the people who can't find themselves out of a wet paper bag with a map lol

Hello! When i googled how to get past this level this post came up first. So if any other people are guided here i want to leave this msg. Thank you to all the commenters above you really helped me! To sum up how to beat this level you need to gather 10 fuses, 3 tape, 3 wires, and bolt cutters. For wire placement one is behind the screen terminal and two are above the fuse box all requiring tape. They can all be found on their respective levels inside of wall boxes locked by fuses. (or if lucky on shelves) Also no, the blue wires hanging from the ceiling are not the ones you are aiming to get. (I made this mistake). Keep the generator running while on the floors or the hand demon will lock on you ASAP. You need the bolt cutters to leave the area so when you are done toggle the screen for the last floor cut your way out and you are free!
