how to properly play this game?

I am a new player, I saw a bunch of letsplays from ZeRoyalViking on youtube and decided to give it a go. There is barely 1-2 players in quickplay and enough players in ALL ANY mode, but I don't like how chaotic this is. There is no logic or riddles to solve when 2 people claiming 2 TPs and only one 1 TP allowed + 1 random town (for example) so everyone in the hands of RNG jesus. Also no reason to stai if are killed N1, so what the deal? Is this game for a group of friends only?

AllAny can be very chill or very chaotic depending on which roles have spawned, but it solves the issue of fixed role lists: you never know how many TPs are in the game so you do more detective work to narrow down which ones are legit and which ones are evils fake claiming. I think Classic mode isn't very popular for the very reason you've stated: it's quite hard for evils to fake claim because there's not much claim space. I've once claimed Town Killing in Classic as a Serial Killer because even in Classic there could be several of them because of Random Town slots.
Sadly, I got shot by a deputy, because as pipetron jokes "there can be only 1 TK"
