Death Reveals take way too long
The fact that just the reveal portion of the day can take up as much time as the entire rest of the day is bad.

The whole sequence should be sped up by 30%-50% altogether. On top of that, the reveal of the deceased's role should be simultaneous with the Will. Then all of the killers for the target should be shown together at once, which should simultaneously reveal the Death Note.

Time to think and digest is important even if you can't chat and act.

I agree, but it would be easier if more information was shown at once, then timing can easily be adjusted accordingly.

For example, who the deceased was and their role can be shown above or below their Will. Death Note can have the killers above or below it shown.

I don't need full 5 seconds just to process that the person who died died and that they have a Will, or to wait 10 seconds just to reveal that the person was targeted both by Coven and SK, for example.

If you show graveyard it pops up immediately.

Yeah, it does, but that doesn't change the fact that the main screen that the developers want us to focus on is unreasonably slow to show information.

That gives you time to process the information.

Do you feel the same about Town of Salem 1? The time taken should be identical.

i totally agree, i had a game where baker nuked the entire town and nearly everyone was alive somehow and i was just left sitting there waiting for everything to play out

Personally I feel it's a bit long, both in 1 and 2, Especially with things like Famine where you might have 7-8 people dead in a single day. I don't think it's unreasonably long but a speed up by like 20% would be really good in my opinion, it kind of feels like a VN on slow text mode as it is now.

I'll voice a similar displeasure, when a single person dies it's fine, but when multiple people die it can take a while before we can do anything. I don't think these slower times flow well with how fast paced everything is now

And this is kind of relevant, but you also can't check the wills of the recently deceased as they start showing up in the graveyard until all the reveals are over, and that sucks since you can't use this in-between time to review them

This too, I was going to bring this up but didn't. I really wish we could check the wills of the people it passed over, in addition to it being a faster time overall for the reveals, not something insane like 2x faster but just a decent bit faster.

The issue is that also depending on many factors, you may want to focus more on the Death Note, the Will or a specific deceased and that can't be done until the entire sequence is over.

It happens so many times that I'll miss something, want to go back, but can't check it from the Graveyard until the entire super slow sequence is over.

This is why I am suggesting that everything death related be shown at once and everything else also be shown at once, for each deceased. And allow us to check all the Roles, Wills and Death Notes while the sequence is going.

If this is implemented, even if the timings remain exactly the same, we will still be saving time by receiving more information at once (Killer Role + Death Note and Deceased Role + Will) and being able to access more of it at once (Graveyard).

I mean, you can also go a step further and show everything at once for each deceased and let us choose if we want to focus on/view their Role, their Will, Death Note or something else.

I sincerely doubt that any players would be opposed to having a more efficient access to information with less downtime doing nothing. Downtime is good, but downtime with nothing to do is not.

When I was new to the game, it felt fine, because I didn't know much and there was a lot of information to take in, but the more I played, the more of a nuisance I felt that the entire sequence was, even in the original Town of Salem.

I can't pinpoint what Town of Salem 2 does differently to make it feel even more dragged out, but it does feel even more dragged out in Town of Salem 2, though I'm sure the timings are effectively identical.

I don't know if you guys ever internally tried testing faster death reveals or showing more information at once during reveals at the start of the day, but it might be something worth looking into and I feel like the general reception might be quite positive.

Its definitely too long yeah, and made each game almost 30+ minutes long.

also for roles that won, IE jesster when they get lynched, they really should be able to leave without penalty and still earn currency. its dumb you need to stay to earn it.

Also when its 1 vs 1, alive on voting. if mayor is not present, it should not have to go through those 45 seconds of wait time plus 45 sec on nighttime, its just a waste of time for everyone. and sometimes ppl can hold everyone hostage by refusing to use the kill button
