The Jinx for example does exactly what the ambusher did.
Voodoo Master silences people like the blackmailer (Can't read whispers though)
Poisoner and Consort did the fusion dance and now Poisoner can both roleblock and poison.
So alot of the Mafia are still there they just merged with the coven.
Necronomicon makes you show to sheriff as inno, like gf.
Necronomicon gives you power to kill, like mafioso.
Necronomicon is passed when holder dies, like mafioso.
Enchanter=Framer + Forger
Poisoner=Consort + Poisoner(ToS1)
Voodoo Master=Blackmailer
Jinx=Ambusher
Medusa=Janitor
PotionMaster=Consig + Heal
CovenLeader=Mafioso/GF
Hypnotist and Disguisers abilities are completly gone since they were also the most hated roles in ToS1
+ There are also many new interesting and unique Coven roles
anyway, yeah i generally agree. letting coven members keep their abilities while still getting "promoted" was a great move, and so was fusing some of the weaker ones together to make a stronger composite.
the book does actually make some roles weaker than they would be otherwise, though, like a wildling can't keep up a tracker claim once they get it. still a less dire situation than ToS1, at least.
