VFA/VFR should be reportable for gamethrowing

If you VFA/VFR someone as a townie, and you guilty them only for them to be a Townie as well, anyone who suggested the VFA/VFR should be reportable for gamethrowing. VFA/VFR doesn't work ever, and people still lie no matter what as well. This game should be all about requiring roles to do their jobs.

What should be reportable for gamethrowing though, is not talking at all when you are a Town Investigative.

Let jobs do their job, and stop VFR/VFA'ing as a crutch because you lack the capability to put 2 and 2 together. I can count on 1 finger how many times VFA/VFR has worked and it only ever does more harm than good because its a random lynch that usually Town guilties on, only to find out its another town.

VFA/VFR should be a reportable offense. Learn how to play the game instead of relying on a blanket method to win. Thats not fun at all and its kinda cringe

If you're playing classic and are tired of VFR, then my recommendation is to try All/Any. It's much less effective there. VFR is going to crop up in any mode with a set role list.

VFR is definitely super annoying, but I don't think it should be a reportable offense. It wasn't done to intentionally harm the outcome of the game. Annoying and stupid yeah, but I don't think it's necessarily game throwing. Plus, this is a game of deception, you always have the chance of finding yourself on the stand, so you should have something made up if you are an evil role. There is always the risk of accidentally killing a townie, but if it wasn't done intentionally, it's not really a throw

VFA is never going to become reportable. if someone doesn't even respond to it 9 times out of 10 they've been evil and the rare time its a townie they are AFK and haven't even set a username, but if someone can't even come up with an alignment to pretend to be then its on them, not the people voting them up

this is a social deduction game, afterall

someone asking someone questions and then being suspicious of them and being incorrect once they go for it = reportable? sounds like it'd kill the entire point of the game LOL

If you VFR/VFA everyone, of course you're going to be right eventually. Its like the scene from Avatar the Last Airbender when they go to Aunt Wu. That dude who always wore red shoes was basically guaranteed to get the girl.

The whole point of this game is for players to use their roles/jobs for the deduction. They can lie about their roles sure, but the whole point is for people to participate using said roles.

VFR/VFA is on board with Random Lynching and so far 9x out of 10, it hasnt worked in All Any, or Classic. Thats not "Social Deduction" Thats addition by subtraction. Social Deduction is using the notes tab properly and keeping notes on everyone to see if peoples stories dont line up. Its gotten to the point where people are now doing VFR/VFA D2 because thats the meta, theres no reason to play a role when everyone is going to just end up lynching you anyways. Why even have roles now, knowing that VFA/VFR is the meta? Why even play the game properly when everyone is just going to VFR/VFA? Whats the point then?

Im not complaining that VFR/VFA works, im complaining that its used WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much for people who keep claiming "Its a social deduction game". Not its not. If you VFR/VFA its no longer social deduction, its strongarming people into giving themselves up, and on the off chance the person isnt lying and is actually an important townie, you force them to give up their role for Doomsayer/Ritualist or for any baddie to target said person.

VFR is a way of getting information from claimless players and has been a strategy I have seen work well for both town and for evils. If you don't enjoy it I understand but banning a strategy that can save a town with no information seems like a terrible idea.

VFR is a way of getting information from claimless players and has been a strategy I have seen work well for both town and for evils. If you don't enjoy it I understand but banning a strategy that can save a town with no information seems like a terrible idea.

The issue with this statement is that they literally added 2 roles to counteract VFR/VFA players. Its not a viable strat, its an easy way to get town to lose since its always town that tries to throw it up.

What also needs to be reportable and bannable are people who refuse to talk at all. Its a Social Deduction game as everyone says. Its time to be social. But VFR/VFA gives me absolutely 0 want to actually talk. Why talk when sooner or later they're just going to VFR me anyways. And even when I do tell the truth, people go "Oh thats a flimsy claim and easy to fake" so they guilty you anyways, only to be absolutely gobsmacked when they were wrong.

Stop looking at this from the "Oh its a strategy that works" point of view, and think about it from this way "Oh its a random lynch and thus makes people no longer want to play, an already dead game(Compared to other games)". Call VFA/VFR exactly what it is. Its a random lynch and you know it
