banned for no reason yet again

at this point there has to be only two options for the ban system to be this flawed
1: its an automated system and the way it works is extremely flawed or
2: the people reading the reports just ban everyone left and right

i am now on my third ban which leaves me with a 7 days timeout and after my second ban being because i literally said i was Russian in the pre-game lobby and named myself Russian after people in said lobby decided the theme of our names should be nationalities (which by the way if the banning system is actually reviewed by a human then isn't that just a little bit racist?) and my first ban being because i was playing executioner and sided with coven which lead the entirety of town to report me for "throwing" i expect the reason of my third ban to be equally as stupid and arbitrary

really killing the fun of this game

The developers are handling all reports for Town of Salem 2, so no, you weren't suspended for no reason, you were suspended because you broke their rules.

I can confirm that we do all the banning ourselves manually. If you were suspended it's because you did something.

lmao definitely not everyone, plenty of people doing stuff that seems to deserve a ban and they still keep playing, you must be doing something real egregious to get picked up on by the devs.

The report queue is regularly cleared out, but we aren't perma banning players willy nilly, so you will likely see a player you reported again, just with a strike or two on their account. There is surprisingly few repeat offenders. In the future we do want to put in some kind of feedback for users to let them know a report they filed was processed to help reassure players their reports are making a difference.

Any chance we'll be able to have a way to view reports against us like TrialBot for ToS1?

Not in the near future most likely. We do want to implement a system to give both reported, and reporting users better feedback on what happened. Letting reported players review the log that got them suspended, and letting reporting players know a report they submitted was processed. Beyond that being able to fully review every report might just be more scary than anything else when a large number of reports are just invalid.

nah i 100% didnt do anything worth banning for lol
makes sense the devs dont want to have a trial system like in town of salem 1 with how you handle the reports
it would be really bad if a lot of people would get banned unfairly like i did but had the proof to actually show it which the trial system would provide (which happened in town of salem 1 all the time so i shouldnt be surprised this is happening right now)
nothing venting to the community manager would solve i guess so i can wait

Mass reporting does nothing, if anything its like ToS1 and that its all condensed down into a single report backed up with server side view of the game.

That seems really unlikely. I'd be happy to tell you exactly what you did, so you can know what you did that was wrong rather than speculate on what got you suspended. Happy to do this for anyone. People aren't being suspended for nothing.

This is also true. 14 players reporting you only makes 1 report in our system, not 14.

good job banning a jester (that successfully got hanged) for one month for ''spam'' just because he typed some silly 2 sentence text about 5 times in one game, meanwhile the players that say 'ruzzia did good for attacking ukraine, they are gonna win' can continue playing the game as if nothing happened, this really shows your priorities tbh XD may i ask, are the devs supporters of ruzzia or what?
