Stop complaining about the loot box. It doesn't affect character specs, so no one's gaining an advantage by buying them. If you don't like it, just don't buy it. Plus, this game offers a ton of content and quality for free, with constant updates for your enjoyment. Let the developers earn some revenue so they can keep delivering awesome content, instead of endlessly complaining and demanding.

It's not about gaining an advantage, it's more about the experience of being able to buy what you actually want directly. A lot of us aren't against developers earning revenue, quite the opposite! We want to support them, but we’d rather do that by choosing the items we like and buying them outright, instead of gambling through loot boxes.

No one’s here to complain, just to offer some friendly feedback. When we buy costumes directly, everyone wins: players get the outfits they love without frustration, and devs still make money. It’s not about taking anything away from the game we appreciate, it’s about making the process smoother and more enjoyable. After all, it’s about keeping the fun alive while supporting the game in a way that feels fair to everyone.

According to your first message, the main idea was not quite clear. I agree here too. Roulette is disappointing

What I want most for Christmas is the picture upload to work instead of saying "uploading" and rarely ever, very close to never, uploads. They give you the option to take pictures, even give you frames to use, but gosh darn it, they just can't iron out the cloud.

what I want is for them to use some of that loot box money to make better ads on youtube, ♥♥♥♥ is soooo hard to look at lol

How does every other game survive without loot boxes? If there is "a ton of content and quality for free" why do you need loot boxes? What do loot boxes add to the game? Because we all know what they take away from the game! If I pay for something, shouldn't I get something I want over the potential to get something I want? Why are you defending loot boxes at all?

If you want to support the developers more, you can literally just send them money!

For those who are constantly complaining about the loot boxes in this game...
You may think you’re a righteous gamer or customer, but what you’re saying right now is just a naive attempt to control a company’s business model at this moment.

First of all, the fact that the game is free is undeniably a plus. However, many users were worried because past survival games have shown just how low the quality can drop when they are free. In contrast, this game demonstrates such a high level of polish that it wouldn’t be surprising if it were sold at a premium price. The in-game purchases are minimal, and especially it's allowing players to progress through the main story without spending ANY MONEY.

Of course, the store does sell various items like battle passes for real money, but none of them impact player stats. Most items are cosmetic, such as character skins, weapon skins, building parts, and some bonuses for specific currencies or rewards.

However, I'm aware of that if you intend to purchase skins, the relatively high prices might be a drawback. The most expensive transparent glass building set costs around 50 $, while themed café sets and some furniture sets are priced at 15 to 21$, and character skins can exceed 20~22$. Nevertheless, considering the prices of full-price games that often include micro-transactions on Steam, the total cost of in-game purchases is not significantly different. For players who are not interested in skins, the value for money is overwhelmingly good.

One aspect that divides opinion in this business model is the ability to change character appearance and nicknames, which requires purchasing a ticket. In a paid package game, players have already paid for all the services provided, so it would be expected to change these for free unless it’s a DLC. Yet, here, as in many partially paid RPG games, you need to spend money to make those changes.

On August, 2024, an update introduced the Lightforge Treasure Chest, yeah, THE gacha system that you're constantly screaming about. This included the Fire Trap Rush motorcycle skin, Phantom Skull costume skin, and the Flame of the Beginner gun skin, as well as new backpack and furniture skins. This new gacha system is very similar to the existing one and has a cap on its mechanics. It has attracted players, though opinions on the three main types of skins, especially the motorcycle skin, are divided. In contrast, the more commonly obtained backpack and chest skins have received positive feedback.

If Once Human ever begins to sell stuffs such as 'New Legendary Gun Draft' that has a skill to melt any bosses down easily, but you can only get it from the loot box, then I will vote for you, I would hold your beer, no, I will even buy all of your beers, loot-box complainers.

Personally, I am not against loot boxes under one condition - if everything they contain can be obtained through game methods. That is, if you want it fast - buy it, if you want excitement - loot boxes, if you want it for free - grind, search. Fast and exciting, but for money or free, but long (within reason) - it's up to the player to decide.

Please add LGBTQ+ representation to the game, it would mean a lot to people like me. It's not just about representation; it's about making everyone feel included. Plus, it could attract more people to purchase in game.
