I'm curious as to why Is everyone so desprate for perm servers??

Firstly its a FREE GAME!!
I've just played nimbus and Phase's 1-5 are like 7 days long and the whole map is unlocked on phase 2...
But phase 6 goes on for 30 days! That's longer then RUST official servers which wipes every month with nothing at all being carried over! No story hardly any PVE...

If you leave before phase 6 ends its not the dev's fault lol

TBH i'm kinda worried about them. You'll only end up switching to another server eventually but then they will ALL be permanent lol

If its to build that's what enteral land is for isn't it?

Because losing progress is annoying, especially when there is no way of having afk farms anymore, or it was never possible in the first place. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ acid.

But the important stuff you keep like gear and blueprints, you can store in your enteral land as load-outs for next seasons...

If you log out in your territory farms work fine, long as there is irrigation but leave the region your territory is in and it slows right down to a stop cos you left the region.

There are loads of ways to get acid...
Water Pumps are for water, but sometimes you get fuel or acid depending where you place them but that's a byproduct... Its seems to be the slowest way to get it as well...

You can get around 150-200 acid in 10-20 min just shooting deviants with copper or steel ammo up in the desert towns, (deviated chops increase the amount deviants drop of acid by 50%).
If doing a refinery you get stardust source, fuel and acid from doing them... But I get more acid from the drops while doing them then the refinery refines. :)

You can even grow contaminated berries/wheet etc and stick them in a barrel to ferment to make acid but again i just go hunt for them its more fun and quicker resupply :)

People have their Impure Acid turned into purified water. Me, who have dirty water turn into Impure Acid.

IDK why this happened. I only did what people told me to prevent (Impure) Acid from turning into purified water by not piping the Impure Acid into the purifier and only doing it by hand. Then one of my purifier that purifies the Dirty Water just got Dirty Water to turn into Impure Acid

I've only really tested pumps a bit for the mission but never really bothered as i'm doing fine without! I always have around 2k acid so not to over fill my storage, i can easily get 200+ acid doing 1 refinery workshop (i'm rounding down also, its more, more often then not but occasionally its just over 200) :)

Taming crocs also give acid but if you get crocs with the perk...
Just done a run around blackfell... 30 min, 400 acid (one chop) lol

I work full-time so sometimes I have to go weeks (or months) without logging into my favorite games for a few hours :') I like the idea of the server wipes in theory, but every hour I spend grinding for materials that I already spend an hour or two grinding for a couple months ago is a waste. Realistically I will probably be playing the first 8 hours of the game over and over.

It seems like you are the first person who's ever played this game to say that (i assumed there would be more) This is actually a perfect reason for perm servers so just a heads up, they announced in the beginning of the year that they are looking into how too do it and will be doing perm servers in the future.

if you live on the fringe area (pollution number still in the green not red), you get mix of dirty water and impure water. Osmosis purifier circumvent the problem entirely without needing player input.

The one that got converted isn't connected to any water pump. I manually input the Dirty Water into the storage. The water pump, however, does connect to Water Storage but didn't connect to any purifier. And I'm pretty sure it got converted because there is no way I have 1000 polluted water while the one connected to the water pump only has 300 or so.

As a side note, you'll always get polluted water no matter how much pollution there is. Even 1 pollution will always give you polluted water, no Dirty Water/Sea Water. However, you'll also get Dirty Water/Sea Water if your pump is too close to either the sea or any body of water.

I think perm servers will be ok for a little while.
Eventually, even the casuals will run out of things to do on that server and will want a new scenario to play. Then, they'll have to leave their server for that reason alone. Essentially doing their own wipe as they'll have to start anew in the new scenario they choose. Even if that is also a perm server.
Second, it's really not going to be fun because things run in Phases. I mean, the Devs can't just reset the Phases. What if your base is in a high level area and then becomes locked again when they reset to Phase 1. You'd log in and instantly die because you're in a locked area. You'd see butterflies, hear Mitsuko yelling at you to "STOP! PLEASE!" and then you're dead and have to wait for Phase 2 to unlock while being forced to move your base back to a lower level area. And, if you're in a prime Blackfell spot, you could potentially lose it to someone else.
There's just a lot they have to work out for a perm server and, in the end, I don't think they'll ever truly be able to make the casuals happy.
Myself, I'm happy with the wipes. It gives me a reason to keep moving scenarios. I can't wait for more like Lunar Oracle. It's been a fun time.

Since its survival, Not everyone can finish it within weeks or month, So people who actually play survival games think they could play it and take their time When in reality its just an Its not really a survival But looter shooter with building mechanic and food, thirst mechanic..... I play survival game that took me around 3 - 6 months and decide to try another on run on new character because i reach my end goal meet, im just taking my own time at any days without rushing. Unless its PVP i don't really pay attention im just killing people loot them, raiding base and get their loots, Ha! can even get high gear and alots of building materials by just raiding anybody and its works took me only month to build what im gonna build and get what im gonna get before the server wipes. Thats the reason why i want perm. server because im just gonna do my own thing without rushing really.

Nahh its all good friend, not offended, Im just using different account, my main one is private. I accidentally Bought some games using this account so i decide to use this account most of the time to play the games i bought.

Maybe one of the reason, I guess most of the player coming from popular MMO which is not have any season wipe. As an example, I have zero experience of playing any survival MMO. I was surprised that their survey force to me to choose one (ie. RUST). The design of it let player not simply accumulating materials and pet, it even let us to build our pretty house. There are too many way to attract causal player but short time wipe also anti-expectation of causal player.

Why not ok i'll explain what "its a free game" means..

No money was payed to play this game...

No contribution to the game unless they brought skins and even then its skins... they look pretty thats it... Thats how they get a little income from this game to pay for server hosting, graphic design, animations, testers, developers etc..

So why people feel entitled to treat it so expecting them to hire/pay people to change things?

lol i'm Sure if you gave the company a tonne of money and then told them to change things they would be very quick to do what their investor is asking of them XD
