I do not understand the Super Anamolies?
I was heading up to the Mirage Monolith to get that completed and passed thru Highland (POI Town south west of the Mirage Monolith). I got hit by a super anomaly - level 21 void-bringer or something like that, he sported a sniper rifle.
One hit brought me to 1/2 health.
I am level 47, both cradle choices for the anomalies are activated.
I have a level 5 HAMR Crumble Sniper rifle with burn, also with 5 calibrations.
I have a level 5 Outsider automatic Rifle with shock, also with 5 calibrations
My armor is all level 5 with 3 - 4 calibrations.
5 shots of my sniper rifle brought his shield down to about 20%
The next 40+ shots with that sniper rifle did nothing at all.
I was getting critical hits because he was doubling over when I got in a head shot.
But the shield did not budge.
He would instantly teleport after getting hit, and before I could find him he was firing again. I died twice and then just scarpered out of there.
How are those super anomalies supposed to work?
I see a lot of people just avoid them altogether because they can't figure out how to fight them.
Any hints would be appreciated.
Oh, I am level 47 because I am a slow, methodical, ranged fighter, so most of the time I end up fighting the same mobs over and over again before I get a POI cleared. It would be nice if the Devs could figure out how to make a person/team instance for POI Areas so that the mobs would not re-spawn until you or your team are some distance away from the POI Area....

Similar thing just happened with one of those walking furnace guys and his kid over in Alkik or whatever...suburb to the area with the monolith.
I could eliminate his shield but could not do enough damage to him quickly enough to take him out before both his shield and health regenerated.
I am starting to think the only way is to just avoid them completely or move far enough away that they might de-spawn and I can finishing clearing out the POI's?

Running Burn Build with Boom Boom LMG (Grade 4) Lvl 5\10 and with SOCR-Outsider AR (Grade 3) Lvl 5\10. No problem with any of them. LMG vs Regen shield. AR vs void shield. Got Anti-Void: Rifle only as cradle bonus.

Use the cradle dog. It hits hard and will take the aggro.

You can use abilities in your cradle/weapon combos to defeat them but the simple fact is they are simply not worth it and a big PITA, For example, I just took on one of the void snipers with my dog and my rifles are specced for void deviants. Did I kill him..yeah sure but he can easily one-shot you if you aren't careful and I burned a ton of ammo to take down his shield. I thought this season would be cool with this variation but um. nope...Just a PITA

Oh and what I really dislike is having to choose specific weapons if you really want to be effective against them. I tried pistols - no thanks..Frost Vortex...nope...

They're meant to be a poor man's version of Champion monsters from games like Diablo and the like. Things to make hard mode servers more "spicy" I would imagine. Problem is they're currently a little over tuned and are in dire need of adjustment. Trying to take Super Anomaly elites solo is a headache and a half. And much like folk above said they are largely NOT worth the effort to take out.

These super anomalies are also present on normal servers.

Thanks for the feedback.
I am on a normal server and they just stink!
I have been successful so far at just moving far enough away from them that they seem to de-spawn?
Not sure if that is supposed to happen, but am guessing that they are set to be random chance spawn anyway, so moving far enough away and then coming back resets that random chance? And I agree, all the trouble trying to take them out and I have seen other people get absolute garbage if anything for loot!

Maybe it teleported somewhere where it became stuck, i never noticed them despawning
But i sure do noticed that some are annoying to deal with, like the vulture sniper, it teleports close to you and does 3 shoots in a row on a fast rate, that thing is obnoxiously hard to counter

this is for you https://ibb.co/n3hrw2y

in practice the weapons that do not have the bonus against anomalies must have the cradle bonus for the sniper which is usually Super anomaly - void I recommend unstable bomber or powersurge otherwise put the cradle on the weapon that must correspond for example shotguns and machine guns with cradle for those that regenerate you must use a pistol or sniper weapon with corresponding active cradle otherwise fire and ice.

Yeah, these things add nothing to the game other than maybe making people a little more careful when doing anchors. Aside from that, killing them are pointless.
