Yeah. I'm officially done with the loot boxes. I've wasted too much money on them. Sad part is, there are some good skins and cosmetics that I would gladly just pay $10-$20 bucks for.

takes 90 lootboxes to get everything from the newest one
first 10 are 50% off = 800 crystgin
next 70 will cost you 160 each, so 70*160 = 11200 crystgin
last 10 you buy using lightforge relics, so they are costless

total you need 12000 crystgin to get all prizes
12000 crystgin costs $155 to buy (7880+3880+330 packs, $100+$50+$5)

I was pleasantly surprised that I could redeem my unused lightforge credits (from duplicate drops in the last loot box) to buy components of the latest lootbox. I was able to redeem 320 credits straight away for the new outfit without outlaying any additional cash! :)

It think the ability to redeem credits for selected items in the lootbox goes some way to addressing the 'I want to pick and choose what I want from the crate' aspect. It's not perfect, but a step in the right direction.

I'd personally love loot box content that goes into the store in say a month after the loot box finishes, so those who want to pay premium for something they really want can get it, but others still don't miss out.

Just don't buy the lootboxs as the majority of player it's doing it. They release lootboxs just because there is streamer that buy everythings at every price, so until the game it's on the verge of popularity for the streamer (since they can make easy view and easy donations) they will make all the cosmetics on the gamble lootboxes. Game aren't for player anymore, they are a work for streamer and a simple business for publisher. Nothing more, nothing less

It has to be one or the other or it wouldn't work. People aren't going to drop $200 just to get cosmetics 1 month early. The whole point is the FOMO and the "rarity" of that set. If you can afford to throw $200 away on digital cosmetics then fair play to you but the real predatory aspect is hooking people in with the "discount" x10 pulls with a tiny % chance of success who then start spending money they really shouldn't because....gambling.

I agree it sucks but it's obviously making them a lot of money so unfortunately it looks like they're here to stay. If people buy them they'll just keep selling them. Doesn't make it OK but they're just cosmetics so a necessary evil I suppose. I just hope they don't keep neglecting the players who don't want to participate in RNG loot crates. The current offerings in the shop are pretty dismal especially for male characters IMO.

Exactly. I don't care if the cosmetics are $2000 each, I won't be buying any. Some folks will, and they'll keep the game going for the rest of us who aren't dropping cash on this. A few whales will make up for everyone who doesn't spend.

Honestly id be ok paying higher price for items i want vs loot box's. I spent alot of money buying cosmetic's in BDO but guess what you see what you want you buy it. I even like that if you dont want to buy the set you can buy any item part of said set as its own thing. If you buy 1 item at a time you spend more than if you paid for the set. To me that make sense i pay for something i want i get what i want. loot box's is oooh i want that 1 item. Spend 2000 bucks oooh too bad you got every dam thing else but what you wanted. Yea no thanks. I dont go to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ store and hand someone 20 bucks say "Go grab me something for 20 buck" and hope they get the 1 thing in the store i came to buy.....
