Once Human

Once Human

Low FPS and low GPU utilization
GPU - RTX 3080
CPU - AMD 5600X

GPU hovers around 25% utilization
CPU hovers around 60% utilization
FPS hovers around 30

I've tried virtually everything, including changing all the in-game settings, switching between dxd11 and dxd12, and reinstalling the game.

It feels unplayable :(

Any advice would be appreciated!

Well, something is clearly wrong somewhere. I get average 53fps at 1080p with a i74930k and a RX580 8gb, I would be happy to trade you my RX580 for your 3080 :P.
Jokes aside from personal experience and from what I've read from others finding a fix is not that simple, what works for some may not work for others and reinstalling never seems to fix the game unless you have some serious file corruption. The problem with a uninstall / reinstall is that it does not delete all game related files. If you do not have fps problems in other games then at least it's not likely to be a gfx driver issue.
I've not really experienced any really low fps issues (I count below 40 as really low) but have suffered from game crashes after large updates which I've got around by using an application called Revo Uninstaller, its free and not spyware/malware, I use it to clean junk files and run it after every large update and not had a single issue with the game since I started using it. Maybe give it a try, it may help.

Me too, 3070 with less than 50% usage and my 17 8700K at 100% with 10fps.... i wasn't online for a couple of weeks and the last time i played this game war just... normal. Now it's unplayable. Any tips to fix this problem?
Run the game in Dx12, but when you change this in game you need to restart the game (no need to restart PC) for it to take effect. However there's still a memory leak in Dx12 if you play for a long period. Simply restart the game should fix it.

There's always clean uninstall NVIDIA Drivers and reinstall driver as last resort.

you're all just inept.

i7-8700 (not "k")
RTX 2070 (not "S")
32GB DDR4 RAM at only 2400mhz

(this is a 2019 build if you're wondering)

CONSTANT 80+ fps at the highest settings with 1440p + balanced DLSS, it's been performing perfectly without a single stutter or crash, haven't had a SINGLE issue since the launch on 07/2024

If you have performance issues then that is YOUR problem and you need to learn how to use your PC.

I had CPU usage spike and FPS drop but somehow its fix I guess tested running for 2 days seem fine. What I did is

• Cap my fps at Nvidia control panel to 70fps.

• Set your PhysX setting to your GPU at Nvidia control under configure surround PhysX.

• Adjust my Vram on C:Drive for more ram speed.

• Using DX12 setting in-Game.

• Do disk cleanup and clear all your recycle bin.

Hope it’s helps on your PC.

lol sorry I was drunkposting -- I'll try to be more helpful:

yes, some nvidia control panel tweaks may help you out -- there are a few settings in the game which are stupidly implemented since the game doesn't use DXGI Fullscreen (meaning it's always in borderless mode and is actually using your desktop settings). Setting the resolution and refresh rate that you want for the game in Windows will help quite a bit, if you don't mind your desktop icons getting moved around. Even if it doesn't improve performance, it'll be more stable. Also check your VSync setting for the game in the nvidia control panel -- at 25% utilization it sounds like you might have set it to "adaptive" which lowers the multiplier if you're not hitting the FPS/refresh rate cap. Change this to "on" or "off" instead.
