Let us know if you find out something because the Dev are generally not prepared with proper explanation as to how an event works till a week before it ends.
It feels like these event lately were suggested by content creator. The rewards should be to whoever hits it. The coding should be
Whoever hits the boss gets the rewards with these perimeter
-if your dead while the boss dies you get nothing
-if you have less than an X amount of dmg you get nothing
-If you leave within X amount of meters from the boss you get nothing
By doing it this way. Everyone gets a fair share of the reward not to mention prevents people from griefing other people work to gain reward for doing nothing. This also prevents excessively farming for doing nothing.
But seeing how the devs are running the game to the ground. They might give the person that does less dmg all the reward at this point.
ive had it happen and noticed it a lot that people just stand there while other people are fighting it, and then they chime in with their 120 bullet cap magazine and score the kill, for only shooting 2 seconds.
why not change it to the same mechanic of the other lunar spawns? you hit it, you get credit.
then there is the case of the leaderboard e-peen. nothing to gain to be in top 3 except you get to show off how "smart" you are with getting kills.
Deviation only drop for the person who gets the kill. So they are not doing it for leaderboard, they are doing it for deviation. Spectral Spawn is by far much faster compared to 120 whisper chest to farm deviation.
And the unnecessary "kill shot" limitation renders these 25 points unobtainable to all but tryhards with (pun intended) Meta builds - only realistic after playing a few seasons.
Well, I know what I'm not doing.
You don't need high dps to get the kill, you need a fast weapon that has loads of ammo to get the last hit. Primal Rage is best candidate if you want to compete for last hit, not because it does most dps (it does) but because you can stack Fast Gunner for very fast rate of fire and it has no reload. Don't use the right build for it if you just want the last hit, use the Mask key item that add 10 max Fast gunner stack for a maximum of 20 stacks for fastest unlimited fire.
