SECRET Method to Create ALTS on the Same Steam Account | Once Human Guide
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeOC-k6Zi9Q
Either create a new character in the realm you want to migrate your main to, and then migrate, or just have a character here, another there, and migrate both to the same server, which is basically the same thing as 'method 1', but one doesn't have to plan ahead, just make the move.
I guess this is it? Thanks for sharing!
(OFF: I exclude youtube "tutorials" from my search results as those dbags are always time vampires, rarely informative; similar to "I survived a 2hrs long meeting that should have been an email.")
There was a very loud player on the last server, one of those that never shut up and always have something to say in chat.
After spending a night flexing how he was making an absurd amount of acid using 2 character from the same account and that it was a devs mistake if he was allowed to use the friend invitation to invite his own second character, he just disappeared.
That was the last time i saw that guy say anything or even logging in and we were in the middle of the season... Maybe is just a coincidence, but who knows....
Lads... Did you read my question? This is the very thing I asked in the first place: Is this legal and considered fair play by the studio, or it's at least borderline cheating so one should not do this?
ASSUMING this was OK for two reasons:
1, As a reminder, but this is also in my question above (PLS READ AND INTERPRET!). On the server I play, there's a guy who built a base of 3 maybe 4 characters, playing there for several weeks, no ban and he is doing it obvious, the same way I want: territories are right next to each other.
This suggests this is NOT cheating, as I believe he would have been banned long ago (especially for he was trading a lot so was "very visible", spectacular).
2, Let's take e.g. WoW. One can have (if I remember right up to) 8 characters on the same server. Even free to "trade" (mail) items between all of them. The only limitation is, all of them must be of the same faction (but the game doesn't allow doing it different anyway).
Even though this game, sadly, has zero replayability due to the characters themselves are weightless, and not even a real MMO with these seasonal resets, it states it is an MMO so multi-chars looks more legit than not.
Bonus: In the clip the other lad quoted, the slow-pace & boring dude shows the UI offers choosing one character or the other, so it was developed by the studio, having multiple characters (under the same account) is part of the game, but creation itself was not "driven out", unsupported (yet?).
Best would be if the studio made a statement, but I'm not even sure they read these chats so...
EDIT:
BTW here's this announcement: https://steamcommunity.com/games/2139460/announcements/detail/4230650600759863514
Also available on their own site:

Issue is, prior is blurry regarding my question... All it says is players can have multiple characters, doesn't say "on the same server"... The second one clearly states "server", but their English there is a bit puzzling so unsure what they say is what they mean...
So don't be surprised if you do it and find yourself getting banned, many people have been pretty vocally complaining about it for a while now and looking at their Dec 6th announcement they apparently take things seriously and even name and shame cheaters lol
I'm NOT talking about multi-boxing........ Read the question.... Thanks!
(Also, I'm playing on PvE, would never join a PvP server in a game like this...)
You cannot have multiple characters in the same server under the same account, if that is your question.
Yes, this is the question, thanks for coming back. Confusion is what you can see from the clip in the 1st answer, or NetEase statements I quoted in my last answer.
So again, it's possible to have multiple characters on the same server, under the same account, without multiboxing (obviously, one can play with one character at any given time!), but the way it should / can be created stinks, hence I want to be absolutely sure it's legit and playing fair if I want to "expand" my territory such way (I wouldn't even play the 2nd character, just use the territory to build stuff I want and wouldn't fit in a single territory due to (function) item limitation of 250).
Well the self-migration thing is an exploit which essentially achieves the same thing, so again I'd say there is a risk of a ban associated with it, although their priority should really be on fixing the loophole.
Yeah, this also is my fear and wouldn't risk it, never cheated in any game, won't start doing it now (I'm old as the road). It's just I see mixed messages everywhere, including statements and implementation details from the studio itself, so I want this to be clarified (as having a larger area & more build options is pretty tempting).
I wrote them an email in hope they answer, as seen others tried to get in touch with the in-game "customer service" just to be ignored... High hopes...
Sure, you can, I have 4 characters on same account. Next season I merge all 4 to same server. What are you talking about?
And this is no cheating, I play all 4 characters active in every season, bring every of the characters in first two phases at level 50.
And it is good so, then the game is so boring lol
It could be cheating, if you are with 2 or more characters at the same time in game active with scripts.
It's about the same server part, not the multiple characters part -- If you were meant to be able to do it then you wouldn't need to migrate your other characters into a server as a "workaround", it's obviously an exploit that they just haven't addressed yet.
And whether you think it's cheating or not (imo having access to multiple sets of memetic specializations simultaneously as a solo player is where that comes in), it's still taking up multiple server slots for yourself which may prevent a group of others from legitimately playing together.
What puzzles me is the statements from the Studio I quoted above, plus, that the menu system in the game has a character selection implemented on the UI, i.e. you can choose which character to log in with, on the same server.
Unsure why would they have added this functionality if they didn't mean allowing multiple characters on the same server - especially minding there's a max. 10 chars / account limitation in place.
On the other hand, having to do this with a workaround is a very legit point (even though a lot of things are sloppily implemented or incomplete, i.e. need workaround), hence I noted it stinks and it's mixed messages from the studio.
But, ultimately... I haven't seen the dozen or so people that actually abused it ever punished in my time playing. Even people running a main and 2 alts just did their thing.
