Go to their discord and make an Suggestion. If get enough votes. It maybe put in the game
Good idea! I got some help on the Discord locating the fluorescent lights (it unlocks with the solar panels, unlike the colored lights, which unlock with Basic Furniture II). I think the community around this game is going to be solid, if we can keep the sour children from spewing their bile all over everything.
Should open on first floor switch press and close on second floor switch press but it does not. I think the problem is the same as trying to press a button multiple times in a row. The game is made so you can't spam buttons some times like pressing "F" to open a non-electric door. You'll get a message that says it was pressed too many times or something like that. It's annoying.
One trick I learned from in-game chat was that you had to hook the door up to the switch and the switch to the power. Hooking the door straight to the power would always show it as not getting power for some reason.
And I'd like to see a door that slides into and out of the wall. This would avoid that weird instance when the door opens toward you and moves you. Feels VERY off and the door should open the opposite direction of the player which is does not.
The door sliding into the wall is a superb idea. It would definitely solve the inward/outward problem, and giving us a blueprint made by Rosetta would totally fit the game lore. Good call!
Wire a camera together on both sides of the door, then connect one of the cameras to power, the second to a switch, and then connect the switch to the door. Now you have to open the door by hand every time, but it closes automatically.
I love the avatar, but it's a little weird to use someone from a TV show to represent yourself on Steam.
That happened to me, too. Really, all it should need is a camera somewhere beside the outer and inner sides of the door and then power led from both cameras to the Painted Door. The farting around just to get it to open ONCE is ridiculous. TBH, it's far more efficient and less hassle to just open and close doors manually. 😟
That's how I was thinking it should work, too. I'll try your method tomorrow. 🙂 Thanks for the info!
In Rust there's a very simple doo-dad you attach to your door. Five seconds after you open the door, it closes. Simple.
Here for example you should wire generato > button > camera > door / alarm or what ever else and it should just work but for some reason no
