Once Human

Once Human

Is it just me or...
This game is boring as fu**? i mean i played i couple hours and man i love survival, i love base management, i love pvp, i love crafting BUT. BRO I HAVE LITERALLY FELT NOTHING PLAYING THIS GAME. i can handle the stutters its okay game still pretty early but, you play for hours, you kill a couple big monsters with a couple arrows and no difficulty at all. You get too much rewards, you feel no risk, it all feels boring and slow. You keep killing mobs with one or two hits, they barely move and they barely damage you. It almost feels like a mobile idle game but with no idle option.

You do a dungeon thats recommended for two people alone and take almost no damage using only your basic arrows. You get a ton of stuff all the time theres no point on crafting many stuff like bandages because you loot heals all the time

I felt the first couple of hours were lacking also, however I have found myself really enjoying the later stuff. Its one of those games I like to pop on a podcast and grind. Im not really expecting to be glued to the screen, but everyones different. I can see why people like it and people dont like it. The damage and difficulty is definitely a fair criticism. Many people have complained about this and want to revert it back to the earlier beta. I sure they hear everyone and hopefully will do so on launch. I could see this really improving with time.

I played closed Beta and I'm now wondering what they changed because when I played it, and I played it more than I care to admit - there were tons of things to do, and I took damage when I engaged monsters. I was constantly making water, food, ammo. Did they switch this to Once Human the cake walk? Makes me nervous to play it live.

I've had the same experience as you. Just 1 shot (pretty much) everything with a bow, then sniper rifle. The enemies are too sleepy and unaware. There's no stress or fear, because not only do enemies literally not see you, they have a super long aggro animation, and they're easy to kill anyways, so who cares.
The bosses so far have been just as easy solo and underleveled.
I haven't made a healing item, and I still have so much - never in fear of dying.

Lots of potential though!

Holy moly, they must have really nerfed the mobs into the ground since I played last (to be fair, it was around a year ago). This was definitely not the case back then. Makes me sad, but oh well, there are other games I can waste my time on.

for me its the game world that makes the game boring.
it has no soul and is tedious .. you know like in a movie when they use this rotating background to give the illusion of driving?
this is how i feel with the game world.
always packed with bushes, trees and resources and it keeps the same colour palette.
why no interesting landmarks that make you go Aaahh
it feels like it has no soul and was created through procedural generation alot.

the game is heavy on the exploration side with very few to find ofc it becomes boring because you know that there is none to expect so why invest in it.

flat out lie, the enemies in CBT2 where attack more then they do now, they did more damage, they actually posed a threat vs how they are

This game just feels like manufactured garbage tbh

And here we go again.."to easy" go kill bosses and then tell this is easy, and go go kill every boss single player mode.

It's been done by hundreds of players already in CB2 and CB3 where everything got nerfed difficulty wise.

The addition of the deviants that do farming for you in CB3 minimized how much you had to farm compared to CB2.

They took durability away from bases in CB3 because players were too lazy to farm materials to upkeep their bases.

They added more ways to get acid in CB3 even though it wasn't a problem in CB2.

They got rid of crop deterioration in CB3 because players were to lazy to tend to their crops properly.

They got rid of boss locked progression and handed out hundreds of additional memetic points links like candy eliminating the need to think about where to allocate memetic points.

There was a bunch of other changes that made the game much easier for CB3. Most players were done with CB3 in 3 weeks or less out the 6 week long beta. Whereas you practically needed the full 6 weeks for CB2 to finish all the content.

Being able to solo a 5-man boss in an MMO is silly. It should be a prolonged challenge for someone very skilled, not a walk in the park for an average player. At no point I felt like there is any point to other players being there. Same goes for public events.

Regular enemies, don't even get me started. You can rummage around your inventory, get swarmed by zombies and just finish what you are doing, exit out and press V a couple times to win. You can headshot entire group of human enemies before they even understand their friends are dying, let alone return fire. The agro reaction times are atrocious and even when you are fighting an entire squad you never feel in any danger. Combat is supposed to feel dangerous because that's why its rewarding when you win. Right now, enemies are just another loot box for you to open, just with left click instead of E. I don't think I can remember a game where combat was that easy and boring.
