it's pretty bad tbh. i have no idea why this game got even a 1/4 of the hype it did out the gate. feels like you're playing some generic ubisoft mess, but rendered thru a browswer.

Specifics would help. What rubs ya wrong? If its not pretty enough for ya, well... I don't mind. Doesn't look that off from the trailers. I'm a fan of eldritch horror, and SCP foundation stories.

go try it for yourself and see...it's a free demo. if you played some early iteration of age of conan or some other ncsoft garbage that failed back in the early days (pre-Ark), that's what this is. Terrible immersion, no voice acting, lame quests, generic game elements galore. All you're left with is decent combat, but why put yourself thru all the other headaches if that's all you're left with. Might as well go play the division because that's what it amounts to....except it looks like it was screenscraped thru a browser.

Oh my, isn't it great how we all like different things in games? To you it's trash - to others it's a lot of fun. If you prefer The Division - well, have fun playing that one while I'll be playing this one. You honestly sound really, really bitter about a game demo, bud. Maybe keep away from it if it affects your mental health that much that Once Human isn't to your liking.

This game used to be pretty amazing, but after the start of CBT2 it went downhill.

The developers let their Discord community take the wheel, and with it the game was dumbed down to appeal to the lowest common denominator. It's ridiculously simple now, most of the interwoven complexities between its various systems (which is part of what it made so interesting) have been removed, the survival mechanics can almost be ignored at this point, and odd decisions like integrating Palworld type themes into the game were embraced despite clashing badly with the game's vibe.

Starry Studios was so focused on chasing "Game of the Year" after seeing the initial hype surrounding their second closed beta test that they discarded much of what made it amazing in an effort to appeal to anyone with a pulse. Progression has been super-simplified and sped up to a ridiculous extent to move players as quickly as possible through a 6-week seasonal reset model few wanted (and many abandoned the game over after discovering).

sort of true, except I hate everything ubisoft puts out. I watched a friend play the division but never did personally, it just reminded me of it. The bloom will fall of the rose for most I'm willing to wager, but there's always going to be devoted fans of anything I guess.

The only thing that I'm bitter about is that there's nothing really that good to play that's new...welcome to 2024 lol

well i guess you can play cod then. I love OH, i've played all the betas. But the demo is way different from the betas i've played. Feels more like an older version of the game as alot has been removed. So idk if the demo is updated.

The demo seems to be a build from CBT3, which many felt was a disappointment. It is nothing like CBT2.

I almost liked the game until I found out about this in game currency called Energy Link. What a scam, you have to both grind out the materials to build stuff and pay with this mysterous in game currency. It so stupid. Turned my stomach, If you grind it you shouldn't have to pay some stupid in game currency NTM you just know they are going to use this for some sort of pay to win bs.

Its very awesome. Needs some tweaking but will def be a success atleast at the start.
