Personal Storage?
What's the point of having storage crates and then a personal storage crate? Can others loot your normal crates?

No people cant loot your chests.

You can give hive members access to storage chests, (and the ability build/destroy on your plot) Even with access to storage chests they cant access your personal storage.

I thought crates could be looted; thus the "private" chests you can make? Am I wrong?

chests can be shared with friends and hive members, personal chests are not shared at all. So its like friend group private versus true private.
