Which means most devs don't care that much either.
Your delusional if you think this just saying. And if they dont unlock all these keys they have locked and allow us to set things up how we want then this game has already been shut down.
I'm hoping they at least get controller support working properly for release.
Very. Vocal. Minority.
I just did a search on keybindings and F key.
It is not a vocal minority... What feasible reason is it to lock a key, where the functionality for programing that in has been made even easier over the last decade. (And I know this because I HAVE programmed that into other programs before).
You can complain about it, or just use software to fix it.
Given the steam deck, I think this is likely going to get solved.
I think this game if functional on steam deck might be a very interesting title to play on mobile.
The devs don't need to be mocked though, there's no reason to be insulting. I believe that custom keybinds are a pretty core experience for PC games. I hope they earnestly consider it. Even if some people are really too vocal about it.
ESDF touch typists.
Edit: Azerty/Dvorak keyboard users
Left hand players
Players with a handicap
Reminder that "fixing" this is merely a change in the internal coding from "key is hard bound" to "key can be rebound". Probably an ini or config file which would take a few minutes to update for the next patch release.
Which is fine, if they don't want our money, they can just leave it as is. I'm too old to screw around programming my way around a company that doesn't respect me (and coincidentally, have absolute buttloads of disposable income I can take elsewhere...).
And while you're self inflated enough to think that you speak for them, I guess we'll see if they have their head as far up their ass as you, or if the almighty buck lures them in. ;)
It actually takes more programming effort to do this then it does to make them all configurable because you have to cater for the edge cases in the programming.
I was on the fence about this game when I saw you can't run private servers but the fact that it locks the interact key to the wrong side of the keyboard is a pass for me. Might give it a revisit when private servers and remapping is fixed.
