I fail to understand the server system

Alright so I hope the devs check these because I can't find another way to message anyone. When I first play this game the season system wasn't a problem even though I found it a highly strange concept. I played a while and then took a break, great game.

The problem is now that i've returned. My season is over so I can't go back in and play on my server. Only two servers exist to 'sign up' for, whatever that means. Both are full and not accepting players.... Okay so I'll try a new one no big deal. All novice servers are full up to 45 days. In the hard section there is one option for a day six but the game warns me it will be too hard for a fresh start. So I either go to a really old server, if I can indeed find one not full, or join the hard one. There are no other options aside from pvp which I don't want.

So my question is, with respect, What drunk person thought this system was a good idea? I mean there is something to the concept but it's implementation is straight up retarded. This is likely why the numbers are down. You need a normal server or something. Unless I'm missing something there is no way to just jump in and play unless you want to go into an almost finished server. Also you must start deleting characters or move them to a holding place after a certain amount of time. I bet all those 'full' novice servers really aren't full at all.

On top of everything all the stuff I purchased with real money for that character on my server is now gone. I had the first season pass one week before it ended. There was no warning it was going to end btw when I bought it. All that gone with only a week to use it. Then I got season 2 which is now also gone. There is some not awesome stuff going on here for such a good game.

Alright so I just went back in and decided I would just play on an old server and not worry about it closing in a few days. There a four pages of novice servers and I cannot join a single one. Not figuratively... literally. Wtf? Most say they are populated low but character registration is closed. This is pretty insane. I'm 40 years old and have never seen something like this in a game. How do you even play?

After a server has been open for 10 days it locks, stopping anyone else from joining the server. This is more or less due to the seasonal structure of the game.

I get it, it's just there is no Novice option in North America at all to join. All full. That's pretty stupid.

Bingo - This right here. Game looked somewhat promising and interesting. Downloaded, installed, loaded up and not a single server I could join anywhere. And kind of stupid that it offers a recommended server which also won't load due to having been open too long.

Honestly shelving this with all the other new games of late that are nothing but shotty quality not worth my time.

If you need to take a video tutorial to understand, then it's too complicated and honestly any dev should realize this.
If a returning player can't even return to play... seriously, WTF are they doing gating their game against their own players?

At the point when they start drawing a flowchart, someone should have hit the brakes on the whole thing and told everyone to stop smoking whatever they were smoking.

This game is the best example of why I have had a rule for gaming for a long time now:

"Play the game. Don't let the game play you."

I genuinely am interested in the IP so I popped back in to look at how things are going. And thanks to the OP's post... I'll just come back in a few months to check again assuming the game isn't dead.

i think it's designed for u to live and breath on their schedule and hope u get hooked enough to spend money on things while ur stuck in brain rot living in their world. People who want freedom to do things at their own pace and aren't manipulatable i guess dont seem like good profits to them. even though i'd gladly pay to play at whatever pace i want in a game.

seriously! i feel like alot of asian games have these convoluted systems. i dunno the science behind their decisions. but it's prolly money related somehow, cause it sure as hell aint fun related :p

yeah super dumb. just had to restart from 0 again with no weapons, buildings or items transferring over - just some cosmetic stuff. Was forced to restart when my server just wiped last time- this time I sighed up to the new season, hoping some stuff would transfer with me, but nope... at least it didn't make me to the tutorial again lol. /sigh

Well I have returned in to this game a couple of days ago after a month or so. My server is dead and will be closed in a 2 days. I was preparing my self to move in another server Manibus hard of Winter BUT.... no, I can't sign in.. I need as invitation code.. WTF? Ok.. I left a message on their discord and asked for inv code... Got nothing.. The funny thing is some servers are new and I can't sign in.. What's going on with this game? Well done, devs *sarcasm*

I am totally frustrated with the mechanics of the servers, and the game play mechanics. I took a break for a couple weeks because I was so frustrated, I logged in today hoping the break would have helped, cause I actually was having some fun. But after today, I think I'm done. In five minutes of game play my frustration level was well past the level it was when I took a couple week break.
and I don't feel like "Writing a book" here in the comments to explain what happened in those 5 minutes, lol
I'm sad to say this, but I think my frustration level is high enough for me to quit. I did have a lot of fun before the new season started.
