Personally, Hard is pretty terrible. Its not "harder" to play, you just lose food/water faster and its super annoying. You also get locked into specific builds because the cradle perks change
and the anomaly monsters only take specific kinds of damage. The anomaly monsters arent even worth killing either.
Most of the tasks to get starchrom are server-related (i.e. you can choose to not contribute and you will still get it.
The Lea Lab equivalent (Black Sector / Zone of Haze) is also a lot easier and I think most people understood the mechanics faster than the Lea Lab based on what I experienced in my server. This makes phase 4 season goals a lot easier to clear, than phase 5 season goals in Manibus.
The Chaosweaver and the Thermal Towers are big distractions, but as long as the server have enough people clearing and building them, the starchrom is guaranteed.
It is also shorter in length. So, efficiency-wise for starchrom farming, it is definitely Way of Winter.
