Actually a bad and low IQ take.
Anything they said can be done in this game, even wanting a quiet/dead world to basically play on your own. Just move to a higher count world via teleport nodes.
In the end, they should never try MMOs or any live service game. I am wondering why they even tried the game knowing that this is a MMO/live service is public knowledge.
The only gripe i have with the game currently is that im unable to experience the game alone, because alot of players already roam in the server, so i cant even find a spot for myself that i want to build, because they all taken.
If you don't like online games stop playing online games. You installed this game knowing it was an MMO. This isn't rust. stop trying to treat it like it is.
My evidence. Look at PoE and Diablo 3/4 vs Grim dawn and Last Epoc (Which one has more players?) PoE and Diablo 4. If you like smaller servers and lower population, then go play a different game.
Another thing to consider, that servers they use aren't your home PC and virtualized. They have a lot more than 128 gigs of ram and is able to save all character things, For example pal world a 32 gig server could barely cope with 10 players. at .26c a 4000 player cap would be 1000 dollars a month.
Though, because the server is 4x bigger, it would probably cost more on top, I could easily see a server that runs this good, and supports this many players at once, cost a pretty penny. Running a private server with this more complex net code would be possible, but be VERY costly.
Private server admins are also hard to keep in check and they love to cheat with their favored players often, another example wurm unlimited. vs wurm online, ironically this is also proof that games that have public private servers that require large numbers of players to run into them around 2-4 times an hour Will both take advertising budget, and the cost of the server to compete.
Only a few home brew relic games that used much older technology stack Like WoW, and some others ARE able to have private public servers through moding, and also costs a lot of money for those, or prior investment that uses hardware that is outdated
But most importantly for netease, they would lose money rather than gain.
It is public knowledge what this game is about. OP not knowing is their fault.
I'm just sick of people wanting private servers for every online game. Games don't need to have single player options for people who want to be antisocial. Just play single player/Co-op games if you don't want to interact with people outside your immediate friend circle.
If the server is running on your machine you could give yourself infinite premium currency very easily.
What you should be asking for is a buy to play conversion of the game, as that would be much more likely to offer private servers.
What about if i want to play apex legends alone, why doesn't that game offer single player with AI bots.
Damn these companies are so insulting to us consumers, we should get whatever we want in any game we want.
