But seeing that there is no way to play alone, and you are constantly seeing half build buildings all around you, its not really a fun experience if you want to experience it with just yourself or with a friend only.
Whats the reason to play the game if you are forced to see other players you dont wanna meet.
There are some pretty cool hive towns forming on the more remote areas of the map though. Like people who actually finish their builds.
It would ben much better if i could just play in my own server, because that way i would not have to be botherd by a random player appear nearby and place a territory right at that place i would want to use. A lot of roaming games has dedicated servers or servers you can start yourself, and they would work fine without needing to force players into a server.
Like for example No Mans Sky, you dont really see any players untill you visit a gathering place or hub where you can meet other players and do events and ect. You are still online, but you dont have to be botherd by other players suddenly appear and ruin your day of building a base or something else entirely.
Also some of the Lategame activities require a large amount of people to actually work, which you wouldnt have on a random private server
The Tents are temporary respawn points, and only one can be placed down at a time. The previous one vanishes. Actual buildings in your Territory Zone can be moved with a few clicks to an entirely different region, and only one Territory Zone can be placed at a time as well. The previous one vanishes. In a lot of survival games, the newbie zones are cluttered with abandoned buildings made by Beach Bobs (to use a now generic term), and they take AGES to decay. In this game, the player moves them to new areas, and the ones made by players who abandoned them will vanish at the reset.
Sensible people DON'T want "to huddle" together because they want their miners/loggers to have as many resources around their base as possible. Preferably with nobody right next door who also wants resources.
Oh, and of course you can play on your own. 😄 I play solo in every game I own, regardless of genre, and I've comfortably made it to lvl 27 in this one on my own, because I actually HAVE "played most major survivals" and know the ropes. I certainly know better than to make an opinion based on 30 minutes of play, otherwise I'd never have racked up several thousands of hours in Ark and many hundreds of hours in other survival games.
Gosh, LATE GAME activities needing other players to complete!!! Nooooo, the horror, the horror... what other games have this terrible concept!! Oh, wait, just about all of them. 😄
Your reasonings for a private server are flawed.
I have soloed 95% of the game (through all tests and launch). Anything on the main map is easy. It's some of T-man's jobs and Monos that possibly need help. But if you prefer to do it solo, just grind till your gear is max in tier, BP upgrades, mods, and accessories.
Like being in seperate dimensions where you can interact with their world if you wanted to by encountering them or being near a place where you can see them as ghost or something similar.
Your opinion is your own but the fact of the matter is you chose to play an mmo, so what did you expect? That's all im trying to say
