Stardust water pump not working ?

Hello everyone !
I choose the stardust water pump as a perk, but i tried it and nothing happens. I'm in the Lone Wolf Wastes.
My normal Water pump gives me ... crud oil and as I'm in the desert, there's no rain at all.
For know i just scoop water in the river close by, but that's tedious for nothing as I have all the tool...
Does it need something from me ?
Yes, there is electricity. I tried with and without containers, above and below it level.
I'm lost T_T

yes it needs batterys as well as electricity
