What's the actual use of Silver?
What's the actual use of Silver?
There is a m skill I can pick that allows me to make silver ingots and then sell them and I was wondering if I can use all my silver to do that, or I would have to keep silver for later on uses.

silver ingots sell for 6000 EL. They are pretty much just for selling for money

I have a specialisation "Chef's Knife" which allows me to make a special skinning knife from generic metal OR silver/Gold that gives me extra goodies when skinning animals

Oh dang nice.
some other things have bonuses for what type of metal you use. I can't remember what at the moment but I have a blueprint (maybe its the solar drill) that lets me use aluminum silver or another ore i forgot and they all provide different bonuses. Its sort of like how when you make a dish, you can use different meats or fruits etc to give different bonuses to the crafted dish.

Outside of that i dont know, there's probably some other stuff to craft with it as a material too im sure

Gotcha I am going to see how much I am getting from silver ingots and then figure it out if it's worth it.

At the end of each season you'll be able to buy crates with your leftover energy cred which will award you with starchrom when opened... said crates are REALLY expensive though...
energy links so far are the only thing ive run out of even when im actively trying to get them, im really glad to know about this because selling steel sucks in comparison and i have tons of silver ore laying around by now.

The cost of each memetic thing really makes me go broke on energylinks fast

and yeah those crates are like 100k each or some ♥♥♥♥ :0 but hey with silver that shouldnt be too hard. I wonder what else is good to sell, I checked quite a few ingredients and creations (like ingots) and most of them are 1-2 or 5, 10, 15 etc each so not really a good source of money, but maybe further along products are a better source. hmm. Silver is the way to go for now, at least as far as I can tell. Time to put those silver rocks near my house to work overtime pls devs dont change the priceeee

I also sell the ore/log mod u know that one that makes u carry more on u. Forgot the name I sold my own too in the shop a sec ago. :) btw Milk, do you have some good locations where I can find silver? I haven't seen any in the last 4 days or so. Seemed there was more in the beginner area.

Let me check where I live in game there's silver a lot around the area, but it looks almost the same as tin so it might be easy to miss it! Brb

I've made kind of a map. This is the Broken Delta region. The red circles are places I go frequently for ore and orange square is my house. Hope it helps. I'll go look for the co-ords in game in a bit

hope this link works https://imgur.com/a/b8PI8GT

Broken Delta (5233, -5832) !

by the way if theres none there (it is rare afterall) check the other side of the mountain (go up the road towards the teleport tower, and down the road the other side) theres some there too.
