BUG? Building from chests not working
Seems like can't build without the mats physically in your bag after todays update. Anyone know how to fix this? I've restarted the game several times. HELP!!! :(

You might have been trying to build something whilst your character was standing outside of your territory boundary so it wasn't using materials from your storage.

no i was inside my base trying to build a chest and furnace :(

Try moving your base to another location, worked for me

In relation to this, I can't even hover my view in build mode. It seems that it doesn't recognize my base location as valid location.

I'm sorry I can't offer any real help. But the same thing happened to my sons game yet it didn't do it to mine. Two different gaming PCs. I'm thinking it's an optimisation problem.

I think you will have to wait for a patch.
