100% agree! Would LOVE to hide it.
If nothing else, it should be hideable with the caveat that we may miss morphic chest cues, and honestly the pollution number/percentage isn't that helpful as it doesn't mean anything concrete to me, I usually just see/comprehend how bad the pollution is by looking how much it caps my health.
I get that the idea of the cradle is cool in terms of the lore and theme, but there are other ways of implementing the same functionality without sacrificing so much visual experience. For example, another thing that could happen is that the cradle could sort of pulse in and out of existence when a morphic chest is detected. It could do the same when the pollution level rises, perhaps even staying visible as long as there is pollution - or perhaps not.
Again, I think there are lots of creative possibilities, but one they wont do anything with so little pushback and two people tend to love coming to posts like this just to take a dump on OPs dreams and it's just sad :(
