Edit: I turned off my other monitors and was able to play for about 2 hours without crazy spinning, but it would still occasionally 'fight' me trying to move the camera to the right with the mouse, like it was trying to snap me back to center when i was trying to rotate right.
good information for them!
I don't use Discord, but feel free to post it on my behalf.
if you have multiple monitors, try and disable/disconnect the other monitor(s) except your main monitor.
I just played for about an hour with only my main monitor connected with no camera spinning happening, as soon as I connected my other monitors it started spinning again...
Plus the spinning feels more like consecutive 90 degree camera rotations then a smooth spin
I have 2 monitors with the game generally on the left monitor. Turning to the right would cause the bug but turning left was fine.
I just swapped the screen my game was on to the right monitor and turning right was fine, but turning left now triggered the camera to rotate. Oddly it would still turn clockwise as far as I can tell.
Telling Windows to only show one of the monitors seemed to remove the issue as I was unable to replicate the bug with the short test I gave it.
It seems like the game doesn't like multiple monitors. At least disabling the other monitors is a temporary fix, even though it's annoying, but this way we can at least enjoy the game without this headache. :)
Sorry I hadn't even seen your first post haha, would've saved me some hassle. Well done. When I resubmitted my bug report through their discord. I got a reply saying
"Dear Player, thank you for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience.Luckily the problem has been solved and we will also improve our game to better the game experience." Compared to initially
"Thank you for your feedback. We've received your bug report. Our team will check and try to fix it as soon as possible."
So we might see it fixed soon if its not already. I haven't been on for a couple days
Ohh that would be amazing if they already have a fix for it!
it's not out yet for me at least the fix, but hopefully soon! :)
Thanks for the update, much appreciated!
Hm that's worth a shot, is it Borderless Gaming you are using for that?
I've done some more testing as I was hoping one of the recent patches might've fixed it. No :(. But I have made progress!
I changed my game from fullscreen to windowed which resulted in the bug occuring when i looked down to my right corner (game on left screen) and generally would stop itself after 1 or 2 rotations.
I've currently decreased my games resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600*900 and am unable to replicate the issue.
So that might be your best bet until it is properly fixed.
This might have some relation to why others are reporting no issue or fixing it with borderless window like programs
