i actually even have separate M.2 for windows and games, so both can run on full speed and still.
there is nothing in front of you and suddenly you stand inside someones house.
or ores and others stuff takes too long to load in
The only solution is to upgrade to an SSD or a faster one. I know the economy is tough but if you want to have a smooth experience then upgrade.
If that's not the case then it might be your overall system lacking.
I moved the game from my m.2 NVME to my regular 'storage' SSD @ 500/500mbps r/w and it's ridiculously unplayable
If your using anything below M.2 NVMe drive its just how things go now a days. SATA SSD and Sata HDD just can't load fast enough.
And couple that with latency and pop ins and late textures can compound pretty quick.
