Map Loading Times in "Once Human" are Very Slow
Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing really slow map loading times in "Once Human" and I'm hoping to get some advice or solutions from the community.

Issue Description:
Whenever I try to load the map in "Once Human," it takes an unusually long time. This significantly affects my gameplay experience and I'd like to find a way to fix it.

Такая же фигня. Плюс, когда я быстро передвигаюсь (на мотоцикле) мир не успевает загрузится, выглядит очень странно и можно бегать через стены, потому что их нет.

Use a NVME M.2 SSD! For fast loading times!

i do have the same issue and i play on M.2.
i actually even have separate M.2 for windows and games, so both can run on full speed and still.

there is nothing in front of you and suddenly you stand inside someones house.
or ores and others stuff takes too long to load in

same story, moving fast on a motorcycle, you can drive through cluttered tunnels and roads before they load, or end up in someone’s house =)

The game requires a fast SSD or an M.2. If you're playing on an HDD or a slow SSD then you're going to experience slow load times, stuttering, bad frames, crashing and texture flickering/popups.

The only solution is to upgrade to an SSD or a faster one. I know the economy is tough but if you want to have a smooth experience then upgrade.

Make sure the game installed on your M.2, Steam sometimes installs games on a drive with a higher storage like an HDD.

If that's not the case then it might be your overall system lacking.

Even on a regular SSD its laughable how bad the texture popping is.
I moved the game from my m.2 NVME to my regular 'storage' SSD @ 500/500mbps r/w and it's ridiculously unplayable

Nah, gf has the game installed on an M.2 SSD. The same exact one I have actually and is having the same issue with assets loading in waaaay late (NPCs, nodes, chests etc.) Where as I don't have the issue.

also textures are loading super slow. Objects rendering too

It's probably just the game itself. I can drive through houses/buildings and have them render on top of me.

Mr Hustler, only if everyone has money like you do. LOL

I have super long loading times too, never have an issue with any other game. This game is not good for that reason. I hope they fix this issue soon!

Could be a mixture of your internet latency to the server and your storage configuration for the game.

If your using anything below M.2 NVMe drive its just how things go now a days. SATA SSD and Sata HDD just can't load fast enough.

And couple that with latency and pop ins and late textures can compound pretty quick.
