Meteor falling from the skies ( echo stone )

new to the game but there's like meteors falling from the skies , i read on reddit that they drop echo stones but there's nothing on the site of the drop.
Am i missing something or ?

Having the same issue. Seen 2 drop, one of which dropped feet away from me. That one I was in the area during the countdown so I waited there, and at 0, a gold ring started growing from where the marker led me. I moved away from it, just to the edge, and something crashed into the spot but there was nothing there. No idea what you're supposed to do.

I saw a video where something drop in their and you have to pick it up then you will be tagged to PVP and you will have to secure it inside your base.
now idk if it's a bug or i missed something in my playthrough
