one dev response on a review states they were working on getting them going and this was from 11th july, guess they backtracked on that.
once again another game thinks that there isnt enough player base for 2-4 servers and prioritise other regions. theres not enough "player base" because you dont have the servers running and no oceanic people are playing because of that.
not hard to spin up 2-4 servers and even if they take a loss then you reduce the servers later
They did reiterate (many times that stream) that player feedback is always important and things may/may not change based on the feedback they recieve. Maybe if there are enough OCE players that make a splash they'll look to moving that up the priority list.
yea however by the time they do get it going oce people will have lost interest and at that point its to late.
all game devs need to understand if they want a game to succeed in each region they needa drop at least 1 server there to begin with and just take the loss of 1 server if it dont perform well for that game.
i dont know what else you want from them then a single server with no one on it in australia
pings fine but unless you randomly pick the one SEA server that has a bunch of english speaking people on it you are shafted, i came in late and joined sea pvp 04 and theres little to no english speakers on that one. giving up cos i aint gonna do the tutorial 20 times to find the mostly english speaking server and have to restart all over again. if you can skip the tutorial might be easier but thats still not the point
shouldnt have to do that anyway since australia is not part of SEA they should have just opened servers to begin with.
if there was a Oceanic region and 1-2 oceanic server on it to begin with then thats where all the oceanic people would be. even if some SEA people speak english timezones are off. wouldnt matter so much for pve
oh wow - i guess phuk me then
and yes - i know how easy it is to host servers in Australia - i do it for a job
